Why do you say you "like" Stoops?

Stoops is recruiting at a level we have never seen here at kentucky. On top of that he's a great man unlike that scum to the east! Last I checked theres 11 games left! Lets rally behind Stoops and his troops and beat the little gators this weekend!!

How is he "perfect?" What's so great about him? Do you know him personally? Or do you just WANT to like him?

He didn't say he was perfect. He said that he needs to win games. He seems like a good guy, no I don't know him personally but I have seen him giving back to the community. He volunteered his time at Lexington heart walk for at least 2 years, very kind and charitable. He lent his name to Makers Mark bottle and donated all proceeds to charity. A fun fact, the ad said, Drink responsible even though watching UK football makes that hard sometimes. I am sure he has done other things to support the community. He has ran a clean program as far as we know. He has represented the University well, or at least better than BCG did. Anyway, what is your point, do you fact that he is an ***?

I've seen this claim a lot lately. I just don't understand why people say they "like" Stoops.

He's a poor game manager.

His recruiting classes are in the SEC cellar.

He hasn't had a winning record or broken even yet.

He's grumpy on the field.

He's crusty with reporters.

If you only like him because he hasn't had a scandal yet, isn't that a pretty low bar?

Here's your chance. Sell us on why he's such a great guy.

Prime, if your gonna question people about Stoops you should at the very least let it be known you're a Bobby Petrino guy. You bring up recruiting in every post like Kentucky is going to miraculously jump to the top of the SEC with the right hire. Is there one shred of evidence that suggest your thoughts hold any weight what so ever?

I'm not a Stoops guy, I'm not a Briles guy, I'm not even a damn Bobby Petrino guy...I'm a University of Kentucky football guy!

We need him to succeed. There are no worthwhile young or old, successful coaches that Barnhart can or will replace him with.

He appears to still be green behind the ears being a head coach but he does recruit well. Just too much emphasis on skill players.

So unless we can get Barnhart, the BOT, the President and some fan's heads out of the clouds and make a aggressive move and hire a Briles, Petrino etc. we need Stoops to turn the corner with this program.

I'm not a pc fan or person. I'm too pragmatic for that nonsense although I still believe UK can field a good football team. Not my only unrealistic trip into the fantasy world.
