Because of their sick Glamour Shots game.

Its also because of "the carolina way" and "we are family".
This is a great reason. They say "we are family" or "tarheels are family" but when McCants spoke out about the scandal and said that he was directed towards the paper classes and the coaching staff knew about it and he never went to class they were quick to attack him because he spoke out against "the Carolina Way"

1. Downplaying academic scandal
2. Roy
3. "The Carolina Way"
4. Obnoxious and often times ignorant fans
5. Ugly Colors

Come to think of it, if you dressed a tick, leach or mosquito in carolina blue you end up with a horribly dressed pest...yes that sums it up...horribly dressed pest...that sucks on things.

I really hate him and his Maximus wannabe haircut. It's amazing he doesn't get the calls in the league he got while at Carolina. I'm suprised he hasn't came back to Carolina for a 24th yr
6. Using the old adage that UNC produces better pros... not realizing they only had two double-digit scorers in 2016. They've yet to have a unc player from the 21st century make an all-star appearance.
They used to lord that over Duke fans back in tha day. Notice how that's "evolved..."

1) "unx woulda had even more NCAA titles but Dean had so many players go early"

2) "unx has better pros than Duke"

3) "unx has more pros than Duke"

4) "Duke only has one or two good pros"

5) "Duke has a few good pros but unx's are still better AND we have more"

6) "Duke has as many good pros in the NBA as we do but we had MJ"

7) "Duke's NBA output has surpassed ours but who cares about the pro game anyway?"

8) "Our last NBA all-star left school during the Clinton Administration but our players have more NBA titles"

9) "We're glad that unx hasn't become a haven for OAD's like Duke. Roy places more import on teaching the game of basketball and making sure his players get an education"

10) "Did we mention we had MJ?"

I still believe there was something hinky with that kid. From Day 1 , there was a concerted effort to look after him just as the NBA has been accused of doing with their star players. I've never seen a player come into the league and get the kinda love from the zebras as he did. Yes , he was a baller but he was also one of the most physical. How many games did he ever foul out of? Any?

Hanstravel....didnt he "foul out" of a few classes too or would've had he not been a UNC HOOPSTER....I think his mom was "taken care of" by the school his senior year too...No doubt that helped keep him in Chapel Hill as well...

Honestly he was so coddled by the officials I think it hurt the kid's longterm development...Hes pretty much a potted plant w/MJ's team...

Looks like Hansbrough fouled out on three separate occasions during his career - once as a freshman, sophomore, and senior.

Unreal. One of THE most physical players ever to suit up in the ACC only fouled out 3 times in a 4-year career...and didn't foul out AT ALL during his junior season. Look...just so I'm clear...the guy could play. No doubt about it. Non-stop motor. I hated 'im but it is what it is. That said , if a Duke kid gets that kinda love from the officials while creating that much contact and never fouls out?!?!?! We'd never hear the end of it. Instead , all we heard about was how "smart" he played and how under-rated his athleticism was.

True although ROY deserves some of the "credit" for it too. His track-record of player development ain't exactly stellar.

Seven reasons UNC sucks ...

1. Coach K's 5 Titles > Dean + Roy's 4 Titles.

2. UNC was the evil empire for 20 years before K came 'round. Dean used to get all the calls and on the court whined almost as much as Roy ... when K stood up to that, UNC fans could not handle it.

3. In the 70's Dean was touted as an all-time great, a genius, before he had won a single title (when K was just missing out, it was 'can he win the big game?').

4. G'Town should have won in '82 with a Sleepy Floyd jumper if not for the Freddie Brown pass to end all passes.

5. Roy.

6. Hanstravel. Is he still in the NBA? Has he been demoted to the 'D league' yet?

7. UNCheat academic scandal
