Why does CFB Head Coaches always

Cuz State Troopers kick local police ***, that's why.
Ever meet a State Trooper that didn't have pythons for arms? They are the marines of the police force. 
But why do they have them? They follow them like shadows. Other sports, even the HC in the NFL do not have this. I find it interesting. And of course if I was to have one or two, I'd want to the biggest, b baddest SOB I could get.
Think I heard once because the Shools are State run and basically the HC is an employee of the State. The State Police being a State Agency is assigned to protect the Coaches. But I could be wrong.
Because state police are a state agency, it's easy to contract with them to provide security. OU uses a combo of OUPD and OHP. I can't speak for other schools, but OU uses the same OHP and OUPD officers because they become familiar with how the head coach operates. The officers and staff have plans for just about everything you can imagine in the way of incidents. Local law enforcement can't provide that level of detail to the security of the coaching staff.

Why DO college football coaches always have State Troopers escorting them ?
I read that Bear Bryant started this and used the State Troopers as an honor guard.
Campus police are used for security but since State Troopers are higher up on the totem pole from campus police, they are preferred by coaches. Sort of a status symbol.
