Keep promoting the Bama Lsu CBS game?? I figured his ESPN bosses would tell him not to do that but he hasn't stopped.

On the other hand, Jesse palmer is pretty damn good. You can tell he knows musburger is bad too and does a good job of countering it.

Every game of ours that he calls, he spends 75% of the game talking about a different ball game or horse racing or basketball. I'm so sick of this guy calling our games. Him and Lundquist are the two worst that their is at calling games. They call players by the wrong names and half the time they don't even know whats going on in the game until the color guy corrects them. Just because someone has been calling games for a really long time doesn't mean they should still be calling games. Vin Scully they are not.

Oh, I don't know, perhaps because he works for the SEC NETWORK, and that was not just the biggest game in the SEC, but in the nation. The SEC has a contract with ESPN; they have their own network; and they have a contract with CBS, where the Bama-LSU game was telecast. They not only don't frown upon cross promotion, I'm sure they encourage it.

Well hell fire! They should a just simulcast it on every cable network in the country then, treat it like the state of the union address!

No. It was bad. Real, real bad. Anyone watching UK v UGA was a fan of one of those teams. Everyone knew LSU/Bama was going on. If you wanted to watch that game as I'm sure many did, you'd have already been watching it. Going to halftime of UGA and UK, Brent "honeybadger" mussburger called it "scoreless". Because he was giving the LSU Bama score, without referencing that's what he was doing. They did the press box shot and you could tell he was just watching the Bama game on his little monitor all night.

It was absolutely pathetic. There were times I didn't know which games he was talking about.

That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works.

What I like about Palmer is that he has a sense of momentum, a feel for the game, and what may be coming. There were a couple of times where he said something about right now would be a good time to.... And the next play was exactly what he called. A deep pass after a turnover and a play action after multiple successful run plays come to mind. Meanwhile Musburger is concerned about the Bama game and the horse race.

Alabama this Alabama that..WHO CARES?!?! If we wanted to know what was going on in that game we can simply change the channel you idiot!! I have never in my life heard a commentator talk so much about another game going on rather than the one he is doing.
