To anyone who asks this question of UK (or any other team). Name one team that does bring their "A" game every game. Nobody will ever convince me that any undefeated team has brought their "A" game "every game". In the video game world...this is sustainable but in the real world...not so much.
Why doesn't UK bring its A game every night?

Pretty much the same reasons no one else does. These guys are human. They watch TV, read the media, etc. No matter how hard Cal tries, or how much they tell themselves they have to be "up" for every game human nature sometimes prevails. And of course as we so easily forget, they're a bunch of sophomores and freshmen.

You don't want the truth cause deep down in places you only talk about on message boards, you KNOW "C" games can't be helped, you REALIZE they can't be helped. Cal uses words like teamwork, platoon, tweak. Cal uses these words as the backbone of the program he's built -- YOU USE THEM AS A PUNCH-LINE. He has neither the time, nor the inclination, to explain himself to a man who says he "supports" the players from the very team Cal coaches AND THEN QUESTIONS THE MANNER IN WHICH HE COACHES IT.
Cal would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, he suggests you pick up a clipboard and find your own team to coach -- either way CAL DOESN'T GIVE A DAMN WHAT. YOU. THINK. YOU. ARE. ENTITLED. TO.
