Why is Towles Still Playing?

Hell, he doesn't have a coach!!!! Look at his footwork! It's like a freaking tenth grader. Kid has not had any catching at all and it is obvious. Sack the coach who earns $3 mil a year for "pretending" to know how to coach a bona fide SEC talent. Kid has been dicked over by an incompetent staff IMO

You're assuming our receivers will not drop passes from Barker.

There's a good chance of that. It all depends how how Barker throws it to them. His spiral may be better and a little easier to catch when they don't have to worry about jumping to catch it or being over or under thrown

I've been critical of Towles but this is not on him. Dropped passes, OL getting man-handled1 This is not on him. and also play calling :flush:sucks

the sad part is Pats maybe barely in the top 10 of reasons this game is already a disaster.

Anyone complaining about Towles is not watching the same game I am. Baker should not get to play due to lack of effort. Two touchdown passes were dropped. What can the kid do to please you people? I'm also tired of seeing defensive backs get beat and then dance when the ball is overthrown.

He's now 5-17 with an interception. Give him 2 drops and he's 7-17. You can't give him 2 tds because they were on the same drive. He's stinks. You Towles supporters can ride him to 5-7 if you want. I'm not saying Barker is any better but we sure don't know!

He's also assuming our o-line will magically start blocking better for Barker.

I'm alright with seeing Barker at some point as well, but I don't expect it make much of a difference.
Yup it's everyone's fault but towles for his horrible play. How pathetic is it that you come up with excuse after excuse for the kid rather than just saying he sucks.

F it. Screw Towles and screw Stoops if he keeps playing him. I'm so done with this sorry *** team and program. What other team can have the ball on the 1 yard line on two different possessions and turn it over both times!?!

If we lose then I hope and pray that CWS doesn't even draw 10,000 fans for the last 2 games because they don't deserve the support.

It's literally the same exact crap every single f'ing week.

I'm not trying to defend Towles' bad play. That last INT was a horrible throw. But he wasn't the only one that was struggling.

I agree that Barker needs a shot and he's getting one now. Looking good with his first few throws.

Maybe the WR's were dropping balls on purpose as their revolt against Pat playing.

On a serious note, if you're confident in the ball hitting you on target then you're more likely to make the catch.

Perhaps the two dropped TD passes, Baker not running his route, and being hit as he threw the ball, etc, has something to do with it.

Maybe the team doesn't respond to Patrick Towles. Maybe he's not a leader.

Ya know, maybe that has something to do with it?:scream:

Been saying this is a possibility for a while. Probably not on purpose necessarily but they just don't play for the guy. It's obvious to anyone who's willing to see it. Just pay attention to him on the sidelines.

but...but...Towles gives us the best chance to win!

/sarcasm

If anyone still believes this, they need to quit forming opinions on football. Their agenda is obviously outweighing their reality. You cannot be that stupid.

Time for people to let it go. It's time to take the lumps with Barker. The team plays better with him. He seems to want it. He seems to understand his job. And so far he looks far more talented than PT.

Let him start learning. He's here for 4 years.
