I know you're being facetious Prime, but that screenshot should end any and all discussion about how long it takes a coach to build a contender at an historically terrible SEC East school. But it won't.
Look at Vandy's record the two years prior to Franklin. Then look at the two years after Franklin. If Derek Mason gives Vandy a better record this year than Mark Stoops does here, Stoops should immediately be chased off the campus a la Clyde, and our endless search should begin anew.

Do you know how many millions UK has GIVEN academics at UK over the years, and the faculty objected to LOANING some of it back WITH INTEREST for a very vital football improvement, two years overdue, when poor mitch couldn't set aside the money for it in the TEN years when it was scheduled to be replaced when built. How many improvements to the TV in your living room took place in those ten years? And of course you do know that UK charges the athletic program the full out of state tuition for any out of state athlete, don't you, when in the case of football those athletes make UK millions of dollars.

What a BS post. Almost every real fan on here expects us to win six or seven this year, read the posts, the trolls are the ones predicting four or five.
So you agree he isn't going to get fired this year, so what is your point in dragging him AND our program through the mud at every opportunity? Maybe hurt recruiting a little bit, the only thing I can see your consistently negative posts accomplishing.

I don't think the Athletic Dept had one say it that decision. While I think he should never have been booted, I also think the athletic dept should have NO SAY in such matters. If UT is the bar, you have set it at dangerous levels. If you want to be them, go join them, but don't pull UK down to satisfy some need.

All I have to do is hover my mouse pointer over "Show Ignored Content" to see who on my Ignore List has posted. When I see the names (usually the same 2 or 3 posters) I generally don't bother clicking the button to actually see the Ignored Content.
Show me where I said the athletic department had anything to do with him being kicked out. So you don't think he should have been kicked out but you are OK with it, money talks, doing the right thing for the student athlete doesn't matter?
Why do people keep saying money had anything to do with the Tubman decision? UK fans have touted Title IX, but where has that ever been linked to the panel's decision?

Barring a complete disaster of a season I see no way Stoops isn't here for at least next season also. I think most reasonable fans should expect 6 or 7 wins this year which would create some positive momentum for next year. That's the year we have a chance to make some noise because we'll have a talented and experienced team. That should be the season that ultimately decides Stoops future at UK.
Still only a couple starters that are seniors on the depth chart. Amazing the job Stoops has done. I think Gran et. al. will put our offense on track. Our D is getting better and Eliot has 3 years under his belt now. The future looks bright for Stoops and UK football.

If the football program was headed off a cliff like it was when Joker was the coach, I have no doubt that Barnhart would cough up 12 million to stop the bleeding. But we haven't reached that point with Stoops and I hope we don't. 5 wins a season isn't what the fan base wants but it's a big improvement over 2-10 seasons. If he can't get it done in the next two years then yes it's time for a change imo.

I would have to look but since coach "YHATZEE" has taken over I would think that over the last 4 years we've out recruited the likes of Southern Mississippi, New Mexico State, Missouri, Vandy, Austin Peay & South Carolina. By ranking average you can include Mississippi State and Louisville. That's 7 wins if he coaches them up.

I'll take the Claiborne era in a heartbeat. Always respectable on defense and 6 wins frequently. And that's when they played 11 games and there wasn't a zillion bowl games.
It starts with defense and defense is suppose to be coach YHATZEE's specialty. Regardless of what many people think, I think winning football can be played consistently at UK. There are to many other teams comparable to UK that have had sustained success. I don't think coach stoops is the man for the job. Hope I'm wrong. This season should tell us a lot.

One coach doing it that quickly doesn't mean it's a reasonable standard to hold all coaches to.

He's not on the hot seat, and he won't be (nor should he be) until at the very minimum after next season. I think I counted only 6 seniors in the 2 deep on both sides of the ball. Should and probably will do some good things this year and next.

Mullen did not go to a bowl every single season as they finished 5-7 that year.
One little tidbit on miss st. I'll list the out of conference schedule since mullin got to Starkville
2009. Jackson state, Georgia tech (L), Houston middle ten.
2010 Memphis, Alcorn st, Houston UAB
2011 Jackson state, La tech, UAB, Ut Martin
2012 jackson st, Troy, south Alabama, middle ten
2013 ok state (L), Alcorn st, Troy, bowling green
2014 southern miss, UAB, South Alabama, Ut Martin

Using the OP's logic every SEC basketball coach is on the hot seat as well.
The reality is that UK football will probably never be able to match up well with Alabama on the football field. That's not to say that at some point we won't pull an upset or steal a victory. But, that isn't success.
Not many programs have had luck against Bama lately. Why not set the bar a bit lower and just aim to make a decent bowl every year?
