Can anybody explain to me why the rioters take advantage of a situation, such as a copy shooting a black person, and immediately run to the store to loot for new shoes, new clothes, new electronics?

Makes no sense to me.

If you're upset over a police shooting, why wouldn't you turn your anger towards the police? What did the Target store have to do with a police shooting, or a Walgreen's, or even a Walmart?

This isn't protesting a police shooting. This is simply people taking advantage of a situation to steal new shoes.

We call those people thieves.

Don’t hardly agree with Moe but most of these individuals are opportunist just like drug dealers/mobs/gangs here. Last years protests were a good opportunity to collect free **** (rob). Just like the kid selling dime bags of seeds to idiots for 25 bucks in College. That was easy money

Opportunist who get swept up in the mob mentality, which is a very real phenomena.

It doesn't help that our Fem leadership openly encourages the behavior, and calls the looters heros.

No crime makes sense. I 100% agree if you loot the you have definitely committed a crime and should be punished as anyone else that steals would be. My guess is those that loot don't see the difference between that and destroying property while protesting/rioting. They always say that is what insurance is for. So, again I'm guessing they rationalize looting in the same way.

Regardless, its wrong. Although insurance may reimburse the store owner for the stolen property and property damage, but that is flawed thinking for a few reasons. First, each insurance policy is different. Some would also reimburse the store owner for additional lost sales while the store is closed to repair the damage, but not all of them do and not all of them would do so completely. So, there is often additional damage not reimbursed. Second, everyone else's insurance will increase because of it. Therefore, its not a victimless crime.

I think anyone that "riots" should be held accountable. Once it turns from peaceful protests to a riot (violence and destruction), its turns criminal.

Yeah, that's what insurance is for, just like that's what it's for if you total your car or your house burns down.

But, guess what happens after that? Insurance premiums go up across the board, and we all have to pay for the damage done by thugs.

Agreed. Even if the premiums didn't go up because of it doesn't make it right.

Gets messy no matter what...

You have the businesses liability insurer, the property owners insurer (if separate and usually is), and the city insurer, all involved in claims.

How come these non-profit groups which organize the protests and rallies, which become destructive at a high rate...why are they shielded from legal liability?

Why shouldnt they be required to carry their own liability policies? They raise money and hold events.

I think organizations like BLM could be sued.

Ha. You never know. Although, if there is one set of insurance companies that won't get woke it would be insurance companies.

I think the other aspect to this is no one gives a **** about insurance companies, because they have been bending people over forever. Although, the people that think that way probably aren't thinking about the fact insurance company's jobs are to find a way to pass that expense along to all of us.

I dont think the looters have any damn clue how insurance and liability works, they are just lowlife profiteers.

However, I do see some educates folks online, who understand the reality of the process but use it at an excuse, anyways.

A former city councilman in my town played that card when our downtown had a riot and there was heavy property damage....very shameful.

I'm not putting all Dems in this basket but that left wing fringe has scary ideas and they are being pushed into the mainstream agenda of the party....Talib just said today she wants a total end of policing and jail.

Agreed. The insurance argument is what I see in the media...not sure how much is actually running through the minds of people doing this ****. I also agree that those on the far left are crazy as hell...Talib first and foremost. She's a whack job.

It's because it's not really about a cop shooting a black person. It's about taking advantage of a situation for personal gain. They know the current political climate which has been exasperated by the media and, in turn, has provided them with a nice buffer for committing crimes that they otherwise wouldn't get away with. This is the scum of the earth we're dealing with here.
