If someone doesn’t like him, I’d dare them to say it to his face but the guy is so nice he’s probably just shrug it off.
Anyone who does not like him is a basketball hack. They would have loved for him to play for their favorite team but because they are (let's be real) a UNCheat fan or a Kensucky fan, they can't admit they secretly like him.

Even with the season being over, and all the excitement, expectations, hope, and “heat of the moment” gone, he’s still my all time favorite Dukie. I get that for some, there would have to be a title or at least more than one year of being there before they could ever put him in that category, but that’s one of the things that makes life great, is everyone gets to have a choice and their own opinion, and that is mine.

When we went to the team signing earlier in the season, I asked him to sign my then 7 month old sons duke baby shoes, he smiled ear to ear and said absolutley, you could tell it meant something to him.

And that is the reason he turned down Kentucky and went to Duke. You never know how your actions will cause a recruiting situation to play out!

I just saw this topic on another board with a video link to the full video and the above video isn’t accurate because Zion didn’t say that Davis and Wall snubbed him when he asked for an autograph when he was a kid, he said that he would’ve been hurt if Davis and Wall had snubbed him when he asked for an autograph when he was a kid.

I saw an article on Facebook from Devil’s Den taking about how Zion said that he didn’t want to leave Duke but he knew that he had for his future and that’s why he took so long to announce that he was entering the NBA draft. In that article I saw this one sentence that made me go huh?

“Ultimately, Duke didn’t have the success in March and April that Anthony and Davis’ squads at Syracuse and Kentucky had, respectively ”

From the link:

“In a recently unearthed documentary from Williamson's high school days in South Carolina, the big man talks about his relationship with young fans and explains why he always signs as many autographs as he can. According to Williamson, Davis and another No. 1 overall pick out of Kentucky, John Wall, both turned him down for autographs when he was young, and he didn't want to do that to any other kids.“

Seems pretty unequivocal to me.

Why does KY recruit such arseholes? Turning down KIDS that want autographs?!?!? I mean, we all already know Calipari kicks puppies and slaps ice cream cones out of children’s hands when he’s not busy clubbing baby seals, but we thought the players were better than that.

True story. Back around 1994 or so I went to the KU shoot around in Kansas City before one of their tourney games (back when they played at Kemper Arena). I was about 13 or so. I was sitting near the tunnel where the players and coaches come out. I tried handing Ol' Roy a ball for an autograph (after the shoot around) and he looked at me and kept going. I was crushed (even though I was a Duke fan even back then, I still wanted a famous guys autograph). About 3 seconds later Matt Dougherty walks up and signs my ball. I had no clue who he was but I later found out who he was and I was pretty happy about it. I will always respect MD for that one. Still have the ball, lol. Ol' Roy can kiss my buttocks. :)

Yeah, this is nice for Zion, but has nothing to do with AD or Wall. They were just hypotheticals.
