Its pretty much an apples to oranges to compare WR rooms pre/post Osborne/Solich. Typically the most talented "WRs" in TO's offenses were wingbacks which were more of a hybrid position. Some of the best ones - Fryer, JR, Brinson, etc had 200-300 yards rushing per season
Brinson had some serious fast twitch.

Maurice Purify, Terrance Nunn, Frantz Hardy, Nate Swift & Todd Peterson group was pretty good.

Also;
- Quincy Enunwa, Kenny Bell, & Jamal Turner

- Jordan Westercamp, Brandon Reilly, Alonzo Moore & Stanley Morgan Jr.

- Stanley Morgan Jr, JD Spielman & Demornay Pierson-El

That's about it. I feel Niles Paul & Brandon Kinnie should be in there somewhere too, but I'm not sure there was much supporting cast while at their peak.
You make great points. Our greatest wide receiver was probably not Jordan Westercamp but I stand by the belief if we needed someone to get open in a pinch and guaranteed catch he was golden in spite of not having the skill set of others.

One guy. That isn’t a WR room.
Dingle..... first and foremost, we have no one named Gilmore in the reciever group. Gilmer is his name. Seems fast but maybe a bit moody?

Second, this is no way the best reciever group of all time here. That is silly talk. Ask me again in December, my opinion may change, but for now I see a bunch of smaller really fast guys that are better than Ohio and Bowling Green.

Let's revisit this later, yes?

Autocorrect got me sorry. When have we had the 5 deep talent that we have now? I won’t call any of these guys “great” until they’ve proved it and are done. I posed the QUESTION to prompt thought and discussion. You will note I’ve “liked” multiple posts that bring up other groups of WRs

My take is that we finally have good depth at multiple positions including WR. When was the last time we’ve had this kind of depth at WR, RB, QB, DB, DB etc? Frost couldn’t field one good true RB. O line is a concern maybe. Maybe some of the O and D linemen aren’t top shelf but dang we’ve got a lot of guys who have played a lot of football.

Ask me at end of year if they are best ever. Until then is just hope and hyperbole.

Half-serious. Pretty damn salty for their time though.

I think we have a much stronger deeper running back room than wr room. Honestly I think we should employ a split backfield and keep 2 running backs on the field at all times
