A reach this past year. He was previously committed to Western Michigan and would never crack our secondary. Whatever.

Small loss. Thankfully his position was one of strongest positions and can absorb some losses. Being ranked a 2 star player, he had a huge hill to climb anyway along with the young and talented players ahead of him.Best of luck wherever he goes.

More of a project than Westry and Baity were. They were high on him but he had more of an up hill climb. Even more so now with some of the guys we are bringing in. Robinson probably makes the rotation right off the bat so Will Jackson was looking at 3rd team at best.

Lol Westry and Baity may not of been 4 and 5 star recruits, but they were not projects by any stretch of the imagination.

Will Jackson was a project though.
Westry should have been a 5 star. Dudes gonna be a 1st rd pick. Baity was a 5.5 and started as a true frosh and played well. Rivals and every other service really screwed the pooch on these two.

Jackson was an athlete. The staff was high on his potential as a DB. No one knows whether this is a significant football loss or not. Sad day for him. Hope he gets things straight.

Agree with this. Was he likely to start in '16 or even '17? No, but he would've added depth at the very least and could've been a ST contributor. Don't know what he did but I hope he can work thru it.

I think I agree with this statement, as well. However, sometimes it is better to look elsewhere and find better opportunities to get on the field.

Best of luck to Will in hopes that he fixes whatever got him into this situation to begin with and finds a good home.

Agreed on both. Baity is another one who will likely get drafted high. Both are long, very athletic, and produced at a high level, especially for true freshmen.

Baity and Westry are rare. 6"3 and 6"4 corners that have the hips to stay with wr are very hard to find. We have two of them.

Agree, hate it for the kid. I too thought the staff liked his skill and size.

Pretty sure that's exactly what I said. Jackson was more of a project than the other two.

Hope the kid gets his act together. Maybe he can finish a degree playing somewhere like Towson or Richmond.

Jackson almost played as a true freshman. Some of you are under selling how much our staff liked him. Think about some of the sophomore and Jr's on the team and he still was an injury AWAY from playing as a true freshman.

That was before Robinson and Griffin. UK has about 10 spots for the 17 class. Anybody who thinks more players will not be gone is naive.

More will be gone but he isn't gone because he sucks and has no potential. He did something to be gone. If he hadn't done whatever he did he would be here in the fall and someone else would be gone.

I don't know what he did and do not wanna speculate. All I know is the Cats will take between 15 and 20 players in the 17 class. If your down the depth chart you better bring something to the team.

This implies they are a project, just not as much of a project. Sorry to chime in with the grammar police.

....And your point is? He was more of a project than the others were. Westry and Baity were more complete players while Jackson was more of a project. Not sure what is unclear here. We are still using English right?

You said more of a project than Westry are Baity. That sentence implies that Westry and Baity where projects just not as much as Jackson.
