It reminds of how an annual Army fitness report was written about George Marshall (later Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during WWII & also Secy of State). When Marshall was at a lower level his commanding officer wrote, "Captain Marshall's performance is exemplary. In the future I would be happy for him to serve under my command -- or I under his."
