Yes this dude was 44% from 3 point land last year we needed a proven shooter and he would’ve been it. Pope has went out and got defense and a proven PG we needed this dudes shooting. I’m sure Pope has something up his sleeve let’s hope.
It did look kind of like a forced smile, when I saw that I wondered about it then. I really hadn't ever heard of him before he hit the portal. His stats were really good, but there will be others, probably somebody that hasn't entered the portal yet.

Good get for Indiana. Probably not a bad decision for the kid either. They want to be a winner again badly and he will be well thought of if he produces.

most of these transfers I never heard of until they commit to the cats,, I trust Pope, expect to be blindsided by a commitment from some sharp shooting foreign player or some one I never heard of, not worried at all,,,
Hopefully we will be able to land a good shooter to finish this roster up.
This one stings a bit. I really feel like we still need another wing who’s a legit knockdown shooter to truly complete this roster, and the number of those who are currently available is really dwindling. Doesn’t necessarily tank our prospects for the season, but I do think he would have made the team better as currently constructed.
It was obvious IU was going to get him because of their new coach. If it wasn’t a battle between them and UK, it wouldn’t have been front page news for them. They obviously offered him more money. It’s just that simple. Whether he was worth it or not, they wanted to say they beat us out for a player.
My current thought process:
-Wilkerson went to IU who paid him the most
-UK had to be offering 1.5M+ maybe more like 2M to even be considered
-Given we have that available to spend, I’m confident we’ll get a good piece for that role
-No I don’t expect us to increase our price for other options, we could’ve done so here and chose not to do so

He made the best decision for him. More money and more playing time/star role at IU.

Time to come to terms with the fact that NOBODY KNOWS **** ABOUT ****. I read so much ******** from so many "insiders" on this kids recruitment. We had people out here snooping Instagram follows and talking about track coaching uncles.
It’s worse. The NBA at least has clearly defined rules that give order to their free agency process, whereas the college version is sheer lawless anarchy. And NBA players have to wait a few years before they can be free agents …whereas in CBB essentially everybody is a free agent every year.
