I just saw the ESPN ranking of portal players. Jaland is ranked 24th and Lamar 36 so why were fans acting like this guy was key to championship? Some posters seemed unhappy picking up the 24th ranked player while acting like the 36th ranked player was going to be our (s)aviour.

You are probably right, but just as Lamar became better once he got to college that possibility exist with some of the players we have.

It is going to be hard to cover our perimeter next season because of our ability to score inside.

Sellers and there are a few more that fit the 2G role out there. We don't need a star top 5 portal player. 90% of the roster is set. Just need a guard that can average around 10 pts a game and can be respectable from 3, Pope will find a guy.

He didn’t want to play in a team basketball system and would rather take the Trae young, Anthony Edwards, Ben Simmons approach and have a high usage rate with as many shots as he wants + a ton of 1v1….. and an NIT or 1st round
I couldn't agree with you more. Pope is showing us more and more why he is the best man for this job. We had a great shooter, at times the best in college basketball, however, often when we needed him, he was nowhere to be found.
