Reminds me of Reeves. Granted I just watched one short video.
Yep… a lot like Reeves, with maybe a bit more ability to finish at the rim.
He needs a killer floater if he's going to be Antonio Reeves.

If we get this guy, great. If not, find a more well rounded player or stick with what we’ve got. I’ve had my fill of sharpshooters who can’t guard a fence post.
I'm going to get hammered for this but I'm honestly not impressed with him. He's a great shooter, sure. But he doesn't seem to offer much else. And just being a good outside shooter doesn't really work with higher competition because teams can easily lock you down. Brea had the same problem until the very end of the season when he developed some other skills. I trust Pope's judgement but it seems like we would be better off with someone more versatile. This is one I will not be heartbroken if we lose.
This dude is probably the best shooter in the portal. He fills a scoring void on high efficiency we lost in Brea and Robinson. These dudes don't grow on trees. We absolutely need a dude like this to compliment the versatile dudes that can defend, that we've already added to the roster.
He definitely has some questions in his game but he fills a role we desperately need still IMO.
Bingo he's the missing puzzle piece. That's the reason why Pope was courting this guy around yesterday like he was royalty.
He's the perfect fourth option behind Oweh, JQ, and Lowe.
He won't be counted on to lock down opposing wing players. That will be the job of Oweh, Williams, and Chandler (with cameos from Mo D, who will sometimes be asked to defend stronger small forwards).
Wilkerson is exactly what this roster needs. He won't be elite defensively, but neither was Reeves.
Seriously..? He has driving and ball handling ability and is very athletic....Do you guys not pay attention to anything other than shooting capability???
It definitely takes guts to put an honest opinion on here that goes against the grain. Hopefully nobody attacks you, because you obviously aren't trolling.
The way I see it, it's easier to take an elite shooter and turn him into a well rounded player, than it is to teach a bad shooter how to be elite.
This team needs that elite shooter to spread the floor and after seeing the coaching staff greatly improve the defense after the Ole Miss debacle, I have a strong belief that the staff can turn Wilkerson, who has size ath athleticism, into a good defender.
He sure was. He actually missed one in the Oakland game, that's when it became clear to me that the basketball Gods were having their way with us.
In fairness, if he shoots 45% from out there, he SHOULD take a lot of threes
I saw him drive and dish a few times in one of his videos, but I'm thinking there wasn't a whole lot of talent on that Sam Houston State team, so maybe he had to shoot at will.
His shot is incredibly pure though.
Did you not see him driving to the basket a few times in the video...?
