Well stated Willie Vic! I'm always pleased when I see a reply or post from you regarding all things UK! Probably because you come from the same fan era that I do, but moreover, because I find your judgement to be measured, thoughtful, and accurate! THANKS OLE STOLL FIELD GUY!

Many thanks mtn cat1, I'm 77 and have been following UK, since I followed my Grandpa around the hills of Eastern, Ky., listening to UK on a 15 lb. Airline Radio, made by Montgomery Ward. My Grandpa was a fox hunter, as were a lot of people in Eastern, KY. They loved to hear their dogs run, but he never missed a UK game, basketball or football.

OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!

I heard that after he built UK into a top 10 program he was going to UL to replace Petrino. Could be a rumor I guess....

I think a lot of younger fans on here underestimate what game day at CWS is going to look and feel like even next season given the way this season is ending, especially if we go pick up a bowl victory. A coach who delivers a regularly competitive team at UK will be rewarded with great love and support. If Coach Stoops delivers 5 consecutive bowl teams, and continues to post .500 or better SEC records, they will literally expand the stadium by 15,000 seats in conjunction with replacing the end zone suites, and then be truly done. 75,000 capacity is where I see CWS settling someday, even in this era of 60" HDTV and surround sound.

It is folly to think that Coach Stoops is going to enjoy great success at UK and feel unappreciated. He won't. Don't underestimate the BBN, or our current administrators.

If he'd have won 9 this year, like he should/could have, he'd leave now I bet. If we win 9 next year and get a high profile win he'll probably go then.

He could also have back-to-back 8 win regular seasons the next two years and leave as someone's back up plan option when the big fish turns them down.

I'd say he won't be here in 3 years unless he's treading water in the 6 or 7 win mark.

There is no school in the country that would worship Stoops and his family like UK fans would if he turns us into a SEC East contender....

He will be as big, or bigger than Cal.

UK fan will be second to none supporting football if we ever actually get a team that competes in the SEC East.

I don't know why he would leave...Why would you want the added pressure of a Ohio State, Texas, LSU, etc. ?

It might be a couple more million dollars, but he's have a heart attack sooner in life.

At UK, he can go down as a legend in the state if he gets it done.
