Will Darius West get a medical RS?

I think his ability to get a 6th year is a question for much later. He came to UK hurt. Lost this year from injury. Seems the story line fits a petition but way too soon to ask. May never be relevant.

I dunno. Mark Stoops said something about hoping he can make it back and be active for the bowl game to get him some action. Doesn't sound like they're thinking about a redshirt.

I thought Stoops was talking more about practice time than play in the bowl. Either way, Stoops comments were good evidence for a future medical RS.

I am pulling for West more than any other player at this point.

I asked about him at the QB Club meetings several times.

The Coaches ALWAYS had glowing remarks about him and his attitude.

I recall when he was being recruited there was a lot of high praise echoed from the coaches. In fact some people thought he was a better prospect than Mike Edwards. I would love to see him back on the field, and yes if he wanted a 6th year he would almost assuredly get it but he can't apply for it until he's finished his 5th year (4th year of eligibility).
