Or will Brown’s history wIth Doege’s family delay this from happening this year. So many true freshmen starting at QB and having success. In fairness to Doege, if recievers held on to the ball he would not be the main topic of conversation. Having said this his inability to move around is a big liability and l think think most would prefer more mobility and a stronger arm. Guess that won’t happen this year .

Greene time is now,
certainly in spot duty.
Wait just a cotton-pickin' minute: You referred to Doege as a future NFL quarterback just a few weeks ago. Now, you want Doege benched? It's a good thing that you're not WVU's head coach. SMH

I've been right here, fantasy NFL scout. When you get called out for your idiotic posts, you attack the messenger. Perhaps, you should STFU, and let the coaches, who actually watch practice, decide who should play quarterback on Saturday. You have no idea as to whether Greene is better than Doege or even ready to play Power 5 football at this point. Know your role, which is board pin cushion.

Couldn't get past your 3rd sentence without extreme boredom.

Geez,
can you string together 2 - 3 sentences without personal insults.?

You lose your train of thought and you lose the person you are talking to.

You show your *** and stupidity, daily (ooops, sounds like personal insult, but maybe that's language you relate to).

Ps...fans change there opinions.
That is that.

Not taking sides but some players are better in practice and not so good on Saturday and vice versa.

Well said.

But those overthrows , 1st half overthrows caused undue stress, especially when the defense has to bail out the offense again.

Well, you are taking a side, but no need for the disclaimer. You are correct that some players are better in games than practice (Dak Prescott is a known example of this fact), but the same imbecile who is calling for Greene to play on Saturday referred to Doege as a future NFL quarterback just a few weeks ago. No head coach worth a crap would be this "knee-jerk" in making personnel decisions. Nobody outside of the program knows whether Greene is ready to play at this point. Moreover, WVU dropped seven passes on Saturday, which is a problem not solved by changing the QB. If you have confidence in Neal Brown, then you should leave it to him to make the call when the time is right.

Greene deserves some playing time,
in spot duty. SPOT DUTY.
Before WVU needs to look elsewhere, West Virginia needs to evaluate there own roster, like Greene IN SPOT DUTY.

"Imbecile" , folks can't have SUCH elite intelligence as quasi - Ohio State fan,
on West Virginia msg board.

SPOT DUTY is an Ohio State fan on a West Virginia msg board.

Spot Duty

SPOT DUTY

A future NFL quarterback (your words, not mine) shouldn't be removed from the game because you want to see a teenager about whom you know nothing get, "spot duty." Truth be told, Doege hasn't shown the ability to play on Sundays, but he's not played poorly enough to get benched, either, especially when you know so little about Greene.

Yep, I said that before the TT game mostly because Doege was being Bad Mouthed here, severely.

So what??

You are not soo unintelligent enough to realize folks are not flexible enough
to change their mind.
And by there way SPOT DUTY. Does Not imply BENCHING.

Play calling, spot duty for another trigger man is not outlandish.

Wvu should have beat
Oklahoma State and TT.

Ps..a program cannot look outside till they evaluate there own.
Unless WVU simply feels Greene is NOT the answer.

Notice this thread started with Brown’ s connection to the Doege family. I - at this point - still think Brown will turn out to be good coach. If they play to Doege’s strengths (and arm strength does not appear to be one) he will have a better chance to succeed and Greene will get his chance later. Team should always come first and Brown’s handling of the controversial DC coordinator’s dismissal was not IMO best for the team. Guess we will see how this “plays” out.

Nah, both OSU Lite and Texas Tech led throughout most of those games, and deserved to win. Greene may be the answer some day, but Brown is in the best position to know.

Interesting convo.

Greene needs to get snaps. Essentially a freebie season eligibility wise. Put him in limited stints where he can get exposure without ruining his confidence.
