Could be, I actually think these "injuries" (JQ and Lowe) might help the team, despite those players' talents, because it forces the rotation to shrink. This to me has been a huge problem for Pope is that theyre all about the same and he's been unable to find his 7-8 guys. This forces his hand. I think we'll win tonight actually, despite it being on the road. Its less stress for Pope trying to find minutes for everyone.

How can a player who begged to get on the court as soon as he could… and returned apparently too early be anything like Sharpe who was a healthy scratch and a shootaround-only player? I think JQ may need to shut it down as he doesn’t look explosive but that won’t make him SS2.0 to me or even close

My best guess is he sits out a few weeks and tries to give it another go. If he plays well he pushes through the end of the year. If he doesn’t play well l, he gives it a few games then shuts it down to get this right before the draft.

Before the draft JQ doesn’t want to look like he quit on his team nor raise even more concern with his injury by sitting out the last 3 months of the year. I think sitting a few weeks then trying again accomplishes the optics goal he’ll have in mind

how do the fans really know that he begged to get on the court? The fans have been fed so many lies by the past coach, who knows what to believe. He may have wanted to play, but now if the knee is swelling, I would be his handlers will tell him to sit & watch

I posted this story about my granddaughter how she had the same surgery as JQ; just a few months earlier then he did.
She went through all the physical therapy so she could get back to playing softball. She had offers for D-2 and was working hard to return.

Shortly after the doctors gave her the green light, she was back at it. Then her knee started swelling and the same thing JQ is going through, more time away.
This went on for several months; working out and playing, the knee swelling, more time off. She eventually got tired of all the back and forth and just wanted to go to college and become a teacher.

JQ may very well be having the same issues; swelling, rest, try again, etc.

Only time will tell I believe.

Multiple media members reported it, including Jack Pilgrim who handles these types of beats.

I personally don’t believe he plays again, he’s projected as a lottery pick pick, based on two things at the moment athleticism and size, outside of that he has next to zero offensive skills, he’s a good defender, he’ll play himself outside of the lottery if he’s not careful, expose his inabilities further. I believe it’s possible he may come back, though the last three games he played in he was absolutely abysmal.

I voted yes, but I figure he’ll play on and off, but not enough to make a difference. Probably play a game here and there, but that’s about it.

If he doesn’t, I believe it’s because it’s not safe for him. He tried his best to make a go of it. He legit tried. All my respect for JQ.

If an NBA GM, i'm not drafting him that early at this point. I would want to see him play more college basketball.

I think he plays against the weaker teams, and tries to avoid playing against everyone else.

I think he really wants to play, just has a legitimate small normal setback with this recovery. I think Saturday or at latest next Wednesday.

I think if he is medically able to play, he will. I like to give the benefit of the doubt until proven incorrect.

Kid had a major surgery and came back in record time. Surgically repaired joints can swell up and get sore.

Calling Mark Pope nerdy and dorky and a choir boy and in over his head is all fair game or close enough.

Asking us to believe that same choir boy looked into the camera and lied his *** off sure is surprising.

No but also don’t think this is a Sharpe situation. Apparently JQ wanted to play earlier but Pope held him out. He’s also not being used as promised as evidenced by his dads comments.

Long story short, between JQ and JJ Pope has shown top recruits to not come here.

I think so. The young man acts likes he wants to play. Secondly, he is being paid what I assume is a lot of NIL to do just that.

The only similarities between JQ and Sharpe not playing will be their camps held them out. JQ isn’t playing anymore. Do yall count it as playing if he plays every four games? He plays just enough for people to not get on Popes ***.

Season is more than halfway over and he’s sitting out. Yea he might play…

Just make sure when he only plays 30 more minutes combined this year yall give Pope hell and not JQ for tearing his acl.

I think he will play some again.

I also think we win 2nite as LSUs best player is hurt. We will proceed to lose to the next legit team we play Saturday at UT though.

I kinda doubt it. He seems like a Jared Vanderbilt kind of situation to me. If Moreno keeps up his current level of play then we really won't need him. Would be nice if Garrison could get it in gear too.
