D23, is Fleming currently listed in the 1st round on many of the mock drafts you've seen? I didn't see him listed on the few I looked at, but I don't have access to the ESPN version, for example. I also don't really know which ones are more reliably accurate. And maybe the positioning will change quite a bit by the end of the season, because I'm like you in that it seems to me Fleming would be very desirable.

He is the best fit to me, he would be my number one portal player if he enters along with the dent kid from New Mexico

I don't think Hubert gets canned after this season, but his seat at UNC is getting warmer by the minute - and him getting the boot would have MAJOR ripple effects on college basketball, coaches and players both
Woodson's only commit to IU, unless I'm mistaken, is a "PF" from Montverde - Trent Sisley - a 4-star ranked 65 in the nation. Even though he's at Montverde, he's originally form Indiana so he might be a Hoosier no matter who the coach is

Why did you want Wilson if he "isn't an elite shooter" if "shooting is far more important in this system?" And why do you think Coach Pope was recruiting him? Just curious.
That's what I've been noticing over quite a few years. Seems the days of PFs being great shooters has really slacked off. We were spoiled with PPat and others, but everyone seems to shy away from physical basketball anymore.
I know I'm not saying this well, because football is more my sport. Just haven't been as impressed with the depth of the PF position out of high school.

Because Pope wanted him and he’s smarter than me. But I am only going on those that have evaluated him. I have not. Nor do we know who is going to be available down the road and he’s available now. You know, the whole bird in the hand.
Rebounding and D this year has been mediocre a physical, dynamic PF would help this team immensely.. And any future team.
Few had to add more physicality and athleticism and skill in the front court before his teams could compete for titles. Pope will need to do the same. The game is a perimeter/wing game but when it come to legit title contenders you must have a strong frontourt. Not traditional centers or back to the basket guys. But PJ Washington or BAM type players.

That's why I asked about Wilson. He didn't appear to me to be physical enough for the SEC, nor a great shooter, as people here were saying we needed. It's not that I don't agree with needing a good shooting PF. It's that I didn't understand the paradox, since Wilson didn't appear to be either a great shooter nor a great (college level) physical presence.
Seemed more like he wanted to be 1AD and the game to run through him regardless of whether he could handle it.
It wasnt vague. Wilson just announced and people that I was quoting were talking directly about him. They said he "wasn't a great shooter" but that "Pope's system needed a great shooting PF..." Someone asked "why is a great PF a necessity?" I returned the question back to "ask Pope since he was recruiting Wilson hard" and by most assessments he's a great PF... IF Pope didn't think he was a necessity, why would he recruit him?

You did not reference your conversations in the opening statement or reply nor did you mention the recruitment of Wilson, so yes it is vague to those of us who have not read your other conversations. I know Pope recruited Wilson but I was not so sure he would be a great fit for Pope's system, but doesn't matter now.
I liked your list. I don’t think it’s much to think we couldn’t get whoever we wanted out of the top of the PF listed. We were in on them last year with only a couple weeks to prep.
I also prefer Stilwell personally due to him being a good fit with Garrison, elite vs poor rebounder for the sizes.
UK will not get a ball dominate player (Unless it is a guard) with this system. If a guys states I want 25 shots a game to come here, Pope will shake is hand and tell him to go to Duke, Arkansas, UNC type of place.
