Will Matt Kenneth rhule?

I hope so. It is koolaid season after all. But I don’t think he will. I think we will be 5-7 or 6-6. Go 5-0, then our only remaining win will be Rutgers. But if the Rutgers defense is improved under their new DC then that game will be no gimme. On the road and they have a good offense. And if by then we are on a four game losing streak it might be a case too of the wheels coming off.
I would hate to lose to Rutgers. A historical bottom feeder, and I will be at that game with my daughter and son in law. He is a huge Rutgers fan. At least Rutgers fans are very nice and their stadium is very comfortable.
In my opinion this season will unfold as before. Strong start followed by meltdown. Therefore, the major storyline that will emerge in November and which will dominate the vibe around Husker football is whether or not Rhule will be back or will he get fired. I think Dannen is committed to keeping him so I doubt he will get fired. But there will be HUGE pressure to fire him, especially if we go 5-7.

Makes me cringe at thinking what 5-7 and Dannen bringing Rhule back for a season 5 would feel like. Fan support is truly the only meaningful tradition that has carried over the glory years, and that would likely be the end of that.
I agree. If we go 5-7 AND they retain Rhule you will see the bottom fall out of fan support. It is already weakening. $750 million new stadium renovations for what? So we can see in 2027 a construction mess in the south end zone and 30,000 fans in the rest of the stadium. Then in 2028 when it reopens we can have Rhule run out on the field in front of 40,000 or fewer fans.
Do these idiots understand Nebraska fans at all? Do they take us for granted this much? Do they think we are fools? An endless trough of loyal fans? If Rhule keeps going on the mediocrity train our admins are in for a rude rude awakening. One or two more shite seasons and NU football will be dead and unrecoverable.

Yes I believe it will happen once this season. It won’t be over Indiana Oregon or Ohio State but will happen vs a lower ranked team
I think they should tear down south stadium and make a green space. Don’t rebuild it. Hell plant corn there it would be wonderful.

I fly out twice a year for games in Lincoln. Will be there this year for one: Bowling Green. It is expensive as hell to go to one of these games and I’m not going to do it anymore if our snake oil salesman coach keeps losing.

We need to have a break out season this year. Period. But with this defensive line?
No, he won’t. Any decent team we play will run the ball down our throats all game long and get after Colandrea forcing him to make mistakes. This combined with the usual boneheaded in game management by Rhule gets us 4 or 5 wins AT MOST
Is your faith in colandrea just based on hope? He looks a lot like Rhule on paper. People ignore the record and turn over. Says all the right things in an interview and talking heads brag about him and make excuses for his past. I'm hopeful but can't ignore all the red flags
hmmm.. i think the kid is a winner.. the coaches, not so much. you might be right on the defense this year.. dana hasn't lived up to his name.. the guy loves to hire hicks.. Satt, the OC, and DC.. i still like our chances in spite of the coaching, but if I'm wrong, I'm cool with burning it all down including the AD. the whole thing is rotten
i don't see him at all like Rhule. The guy who reminds me of Rhule, is Trae.. all hat and no cattle. That's who reminds me of Rhule.
Colandrea came here because of a mistaken Husker black shirt that he bought.. he saw it as a divine indicator of where to go. I'm okay with that.. He's the type of guy to make something happen after Dana's crappy playcall fails.. I think he's going to be good.

A winner against ACC and MWC competition. Look at his stats at Virginia and UNLV and the teams he played against. It’s like 43 TDs and 29 INTs. And this was against the ACC and MWC. Big Ten Ds are a couple of steps up from those 2. Elite Big Ten Ds are in another universe.
I echo your comment. Love going to games. My friends have connections, so we always get a spot at the Champion's Club. That is always fun to pre-function there. For the first time in a long time there is no buzz amongst my friends to do a game this year. Even if they come up with one I will not be going back. I've decided until Matt the Hat is shown the door it just isn't wort the expense to fly back for a game. I will watch every second, but I am much more excited to watch volleyball. bought U Dub volleyball season tickets so I have great seats for the game in Seattle. My wife wants to see her Purdue team play the Huskies as well. The rest are listed on SeatGeek. I will go see the men's hoop team, too, when they travel to Seattle. GBR!!!Win or lose? Not me. it works both ways.. here he has a lot better talent around him.. his int's were way down at UNLV.. he did have a lot at Virginia. He will throw some picks.. but I'm expecting something along the lines of a T-Mart, with a lot more moxy. He's needs to be careful running the ball, they will indeed hurt him... hell it might evolve into something really bad..
It's not that everyone is wrong.. my take is, that things never go the way you think they will, and since everyone is negative, I'm betting the other side.
I hate the staff and everything they stand for. If this kid can pull it off, I don't want all the homers rewarding the staff.. it's literally this kid's fault if we have a good to great season, and that's it.
The circus Matt has lined up after Colandrea is nothing more than hype and grift..
Something else that is interesting to me, is the hiring of Damon Benning. Who is also a good speaker, and fairly intelligent guy.
I see it more as an intermediary between Rhule and the fans.. if things go bad, he will have DB out there explaining things to the fanbase..
I don't mean DB takes the podium, but I think Matt uses DB to put out info via another guy who can 'talk'.. it's the same thing with 'Trae'..
Nobody wants to listen to Matt anymore, and when the audience and media come for him, he wants other good talkers out there on his side.

In the future Trae is your QB and loses a game, he's going to try to talk sense into the fanbase, and that won't last long.
Trae is going run the play that Dana tells him to run, and if it doesn't work, he's going to say hey, what else am I supposed to do. I ran what was called. blah blah.

Instead of going to a school where he would get valuable experience ahead of college, he chose instead the easy route where he doesn't learn anything and gets all the attention he wants.
This is all part of the hype and grift thing.

You have 2 sides who are trying to do a lot of talking to get the money.. very few give 2 cents about being winners.
When the fans no longer listen to Matt, he survives by getting more good talkers in here.. keep the hype cycle alive.. keep the suckers donating.. etc. The AD is in on this big time too.
