If they don’t want to be boo’d, there is a simple solution. Win! I would rather win ugly than lose. I lived in Nola when the Aint’s were terrible and many fans wore paper bags to the games. Once the team started winning the boo’s and bags disappeared. Just Winning makes things better for everyone.

Asking this team to win is like asking me to just get a date with Jessica Simpson circa-2002. Would like to but don’t have the ability.

A respectable program doesn’t change coaches like socks. Also, doesn’t fire coaches mid- season.


would be a very bad look on BBN , after booing Calipari to boo Mark Pope after a year he was appoinTed and received in Rupp like Messiah.

do you think other coaches would want to put up with that?

so we expect the team and Pope not give up and keep fighting but we already give up after 15 games in year two?
How about help the team fight and win the game !

the bottom line is pope isnt good at anything coaching wise

If you go to the game you go to cheer. If you’re unhappy with the product you boo. This the natural course of action.

I don't think its even a question of whether there will be booing, the question is how much

Lowe bricking a game tying shot that he should have never taken, and then Pope talking about him running downhill in the set when we needed a 3 to tie?

I love Mark Pope but he's got to get his head out of his *** with these guys. He's lost the media. He's pretty much lost the fan base. There isn't much to fall back on at this point.

Whatever he does, if this team misses the tournament (which it appears they will), he'll get a 3rd year, but from day 1 of next season ,its just going to be an extension of this season, The fans are going to come in angry.

this isn't just Pope at this point. Fans will not tolerate mercenary players mailing it in. After the Gonzaga game there is a new era in Kentucky athletics as it relates to fan support. You *WILL* be boo'd if you show up here and don't earn the money you make. Whoever is the coach of Kentucky needs to understand this is the new norm.

i agree but i really don't think there'll be booing out the gate on saturday.
if they lose, yes, definitely.
but booing the home team is incredibly uncommon in Rupp. the fact that it happened at all is insane

I imagine if Pope returns this offseason will be the most miserable time in his life. I personally wouldn’t even show my face it I had to spend the offseason with most of the fanbase hating my guts; I sure as heck wouldn’t want to return. It will be even worse if we have no top recruits to look forward to and the NIL spending is shut down by angry boosters leading to Pope having to go for less talented players in the portal. It’s going to get really, really toxic in the coming months leading into next season.

He really needed to get a player like Stokes to soften the blow of this dud of a season. Fans will be miserable and antsy this offseason like we haven’t seen since the late 80s.

What in the world makes you think it will be an easy win? I'm not sure there's an easy win on the SEC schedule. Mississippi St isn't awful.

My brother got me Saturday's game for Christmas so I'm pretty much forced to go....ugh. I do kind of want to wear a paper bag on my head though.

Currently there are 1300 tickets available on TickPicks and you can get in the door for less than $50 and can get in lower bowl for less than $200. That's pretty freaking rare for a Saturday night SEC game at Rupp.

Actually that's not what I said. I said 'should" be. And it should be. It won't be because we don't have a coach.

Knowing the Rupp crowd, odds are very high he’ll get cheered when he’s introduced. Collectively. No doubt there will be a boo here and there but they’ll be drowned out by the crowd collectively. In aggregate that is a more upbeat group than we are here.

Now if he loses tonight, or gets twenty points behind at any point, Rupp probably will turn into a booing machine.
