Will Sutherland suspended indefinately for stolen merchandise but I heard what actually happened

Will was approached by some guys who were on his team at Midwest City who said they did not have an ID and they had some stuff (a gaming system) they needed to pawn. Will offered his ID
and the gaming system turned out to be stolen.

From what I heard Will is a good kid who was taken advantage of by some old friends.

Will still has his scholarship and once this situation is worked out, he should be reinstated to the team shortly from what I read and heard.

FROM THE JAMES HALE RADIO SHOW ON KREF A DAY AFTER THE INCIDENT HAPPENED JAMES ALSO PUT THIS ON HIS INTERNET 247 MESSAGE BOARD SITE.

James Hale was dead wrong.

If that's the case, then he should be suspended for stupidity.

Stinks to high heaven to me. Pawning property for quick cash is often fueled by shady endeavors (not proud to admit I've lost quite a few of my own belongings to pawn for gambling money because of my past addictions).

As long as he wasn't involved in the theft, this could be a lesson learned without getting removed from the team.

Daily Oklahoman and Yahoo Sports saying he told OUPD that he knew it was stolen. If so, then so much for the whole "I didn't know" story that Hale's pushing.

Bullmarket, where did you hear what actually happened? You appear to be very wrong about this situation. He now is charged with a felony and things do not look good for the kids future. I hate new coach Riley has to deal with this so soon from being the new head coach.

Riley is getting tested very soon on recruiting, staff additions and discipline. And how does one justify keeping a player around after a felony charge is laid on him ?

Justify? Interesting choice of words. Justice comes to mind when I hear or see the word justify. Meaning, while the chances are very slim that WS sticks around. Riley can easily justify keeping him around until JUSTICE plays it's course. The kid is not guilty as of yet. He's charge with a crime but has not yet been proven guilty and/or officially waived his right to a trial in the form of a plea bargain. Riley has time on his side.

I heard what I said in my opening post in this thread on KREF James Hale when I was going to work.
Jame;s account of what happened was obviously dead wrong in so many ways about what actually happened, .

Sutherland obviously robbed an OU baseball player's game system and then tried to pawn it and then he fabricated his story.

I personally don't think he will be back at OU and he should not be,

There is video of him using his key card to enter Headington, video of him walking down the hall with 'stuffed bags' and then video of him pawning the stuff.

But yeah, Bull/Hale were close. NOT. Anyone ever seen Bull and Hale in the same room at the same time btw?

This thread reminds me of Bull's post on Jermaine Gresham back in 2008. ;)

Bull posted that according to his Dr. [who had never seen Gresham] Jermaine would be out for a few days and be good for the season. I called him on his post and then a few days later, we learned that he was lost for the season.

This is what happens when you try to be the one who knows everything.
