That is bad news. I worry for any future career for Malik playing basketball with all these foot injuries.

As for the team it is next man up. All they can do. Hopefully our bigs have made some improvements as they'll get a trial by fire.

IMOP i would put my money on not seeing him ever again playing in a Cardinal uniform His best options will be to get his foot as healthy and strong as it can be and prepare himself to salvage some type of pro career overseas / free agency (NBA G-League if possible) based off his past play. He is damgaed goods now with two major foot injuries .

I remember watching the game when he hurt his other ankle. It was late Feb, I believe. Did it heal and he re-injured it again?

Not saying if its a a diffrent foot or not i would be under the assumption its the same one.

An injury is never good for anyone.

But, long term this may pay off. Withers, Iggy, and the rest are all unproven. They’re the future. This team this year, honestly it may have not been strong anyways. We will probably lose DJ and Sam anyways, along with Jones, Williams, and Minland.

Maybe developing the next group of guys will be better for long term, then add in Malik late in the year and we’ll be much deeper?
