He defensive play got him 20 minutes including time at the 2 when David got hurt.

Coach Mack getting close to my dream lineup of ;

David
Sam
Nwora
Malik
Enoch.

This is a huge lineup i hope Coach springs on a team for a few minutes during the NCAAT.

Malik and Enoch have played a few minutes together one game.

I've said all along that our highest ceiling lineup is

DJ, Sam, Nwora, Sutton, Enoch

But man Williams is coming along. I just don't think Mack will play them together much because it really puts us at risk if they both get in foul trouble, Having two bigs of this quality sure is a nice problem to have.

I thought Sam played well. I think his defense and his tenacity to go get those 50/50 balls projects his minutes upward.

Sam got that huge offensive rebound toward the end of the game to get us another possession.

As far as starting, Mack sorta put the kibosh on Johnson for the foreseeable future during his radio show last nite. He apparently likes Kimble starting at PG for experience...

It is all about matchups; I am not so concerned with who is starting as much as who is on the floor in those critical periods of the game, particularly the last 5-7 minutes of each half. The combination of Williamson and Johnson joining Nwora, Enoch and Sutton would be a favorable matchup against tall athletic opponents like TT, UK and FSU on the offensive end of the court; and then bring Perry in for Williamson and exchange Williams in for Enoch when defensive stops are critical.

The biggest disappointment for CCM, is discovering just how ill-prepared
Igiehon was for this level of basketball. If Aidan was able to provide 5 quality minutes a half, it would have been possible to play Williams and Enoch simultaneously.

Short term, I'm not crazy about a freshman at PG as the calendar turns to March. This is an old school mentality, admittedly.

I don't believe who starts is necessarily all that important. Rather look at the minutes played and who Coach has in at the end or at crucial times.

I'm good with that. That way Johnson doesnt pick up a cheap foul early. If he plays like he did at Duke hes going to get starters minutes anyway

Don't change a thing. I like DJ coming off the bench. Plus, by season's end, our second unit might be better than the first. Veteran starting five, then bring in the boom. As the game progress, whoever is hot, will earn more minutes.
