School is off Ardmore about a half mile south of Roosevelt Rd. Not a real large parking lot and you have to walk from the lot along a path that runs along the south edge of the practice fields to the stadium. There is some parking just to the eastern edge of the practice fields too. The visitor stands are closest to the parking lot and run from between the 20 and 25 yard lines on each end. Standard high school concessions, nothing spectacular...It's been a long time since they've reached this stage...I'm sure it's going to be a hectic scene..What can visitors expect at Willowbrook?
Yep...Montini is off Meyers Rd which is a mile west of Ardmore. Providence bank is on the NE corner of Ardmore and Roosevelt Rd, and there is a Mobile gas station on the SE corner..They built condos on Ardmore just before the Villa Park fire station. I don't recall them being there years ago..It's right down the street from Montini if you have been to the Montini games.

You're welcome MC..That's right Mt Carmel Cemetery is about 10 minutes east of Villa off Roosevelt and Wolf Rd in Hillside. The Capone grave is not far off Roosevelt just past Wolf Rd...Mike - thank you very much. I found it interesting that the school is close to Mt Carmel Cemetery (where Al Capone has a spot.) I don't know if that's a good omen or a bad one. We'll know Saturday about 3:45.
The older I get, the more precious a good parking spot gets.

If he'd bought a couple of chance-books, they'd have made him an honorary alum!
Yes when I was there a few years back I was sporting a nice limp due to injury playing ball (but old too) and some staff member was very nice to offer me a ride up to the field. I declined but very nice gesture on their part. For those coming out, the boosters run a golf cart shuttle for senior citizens and anyone else needing a lift (crutches or the like). Wait at the end of the walkway for the shuttle to come by.

How about for fat out of shape ex football players? For those coming out, the boosters run a golf cart shuttle for senior citizens and anyone else needing a lift (crutches or the like). Wait at the end of the walkway for the shuttle to come by.
I’m surprised they didn’t call it Willow Creek....In January, 1958, the school board decided that the new school was to be called Willowbrook, referring to a nearby creek running through a stand of weeping willow trees...
A helluva lot better than York Township South.
