I don't know whether he'll be good at Bama or not. He's given no indication so far that he'll be good. You do understand that not all high school 5 star phenoms hit? Perhaps you don't grasp that concept. Here's the deal, UofLoL fan- about half of them do NOT hit. So far, Harris hasn't and there's a good chance that he never will. Got that?

Try again. Reports are he's shredding in practice and scrimmages. He will be good.

You aren't fooling anyone here pretending that he wasn't a big loss for us in the recruiting game. He led us on and it was a huge loss. Stoops was not happy about it after flying a helicopter to his HS field.

Sounds like sour grapes. Just admit it. He was an elite talent and will be very good at Bama.

Hey if he commits and ultimately signs with Alabama then so be it. I won’t wish him or Harris any bad luck, but conversely, I won’t root for him either. I just can’t root for Bama. The only team I hate worse is tOSU. And that moronic t In front of the OSU. Oh and those orange clad thugs to the south of us. This situation is so much different than the Harris one though because at least this kid had enough class not to play us so I do give him kudos for that.

I know this is a thread on JW. And I don't like to hijack but I have to say this.

Sour Grapes on the Damien Harris situation is immature..

He made a mistake, he used his status to get things from UK when he knew he wasn't coming.
I am over that. He made the most logical decision for him and his family.

He is a native Kentuckian, I will root for him unless he is playing UK.

Shoot me.

I listened to Mondays show. Lemond still stands behind the tweet and even let out a detail about it being "on video" already. There's a new trend where some better players don't make an announcement, they release the news with some production value. I read into Lemond that something like this is going to happen. I would put money on Labor Day release. May be wrong. See below for example.

I get the feeling that a couple of things are going on here. 1) Nicky Satan is pressuring him to commit now or lose the Chance to go to Bama. 2) His HS coach is also pressuring him because of his (the coaches) own agenda. Wills is not letting them pressure him. He is making a decision on his own timeline, and my hope is that KY is still in the running. I know this is most likely just wishful thinking on my part, but this is what I am going with at this point. These blue tinted glasses see blue in Jedricks future. Someone has to keep the faith, I will take this bullet for the team. GBB

Yes, you wasted space on a different topic. Might as well talk about the 2017 eclipse as this ancient history. Get over it. .

Well, he has to until it's not true - whoever Lemond is. Has to be in love with himself for needing to be the "first" about something that hasn't even happened. Sounds like an insecurity issue.

He is a liar! A lot of us don't have a problem if a Kentuckian goes to another school. However, we do have a problem when he does it like Harris did. The kid is a punk, and he hasn't changed since he went to Alabama.

OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!

He's done next to nothing for Alabama so far, and probably would have been battling Kemp and Horton to back up Boom last year...and this year, as well. As a matter of fact, I'm not sure that he would be getting more carries than King. His sub 3.5 YPC carry behind Alabama's line, and against garbage time competition, hardly inspires a great deal of awe.
What Harris did was disgraceful.

Won't be fine until kids like this stay home to play...

Jason Hatcher says "hi" . . . Matt Elam says "hi" . . . seriously, seems like too often when we manage to keep what is supposed to be a quality in-state recruit either an off field circumstance gets in the way or they prove not to be worth their own hype.

Actually Hatcher says "high." As for Elam, the guy's a true junior...let him finish his career before we relegate him to the scrap heap.

what a terrible take, our best teams were lead by instate kids as among our best players. Couch, Yeast, Dennis Johnson, Woodson, Burton, Tammee, McClinton, Cory Peters, Myron Pryor.

a player can be a lot better that "scrap heap" (your description of Elam apparently, but I won't get in your way) and still prove unworthy of a 4 star rating. If Elam takes the field next Sat looking like the same physical blob last season, then more than half his book is written.

I'm saying the guy is still very young in his college career and has ample time to be the type of player you think he should be.

Ample time for him to become a good player but for what length of time? If Matt Elam wants to be a good, quality football player in the SEC then he needs to have his act together now. I'm not going to watch the 2015 version of him and hope for 1 year of him to be different. I'll want him gone.

Just another in a long line of troubling signs that have been occurring the last couple of years. Hate to say it, but the word is out among elite recruits. The first couple of years Stoops was able to bring in some big time players, but since the back to back collapses his staff has struggled to be anything other than mediocre on the recruiting trail.

No more coach speak from Stoops, it's time for RESULTS. RESULTS. Dude can spit coachspeak with the best of them but the FANS and top shelf RECRUITS are jumping off the ship. You need some results coach.

When I look around at the in-state guys we're missing on, and the commit's who've backed out, that's pretty much the same conclusion I come to. Stoop's has got to win more games than he loses, and come up with a big one or two to get back the confidence of some of guys we're missing on. This very season which starts next week would be an excellent time to do it!
