In-depth look at the commitment from five-star Jedrick Wills, and what it means for the Crimson Tide going forward http://rvls.co/2gcY2xy

It is like recruiting against Kentucky Basketball. Bama just picks who they want and they wanted Wills. I was hoping he would change his mind; however, I never thought he would. Go Cats!!

Glad for Wills but it's my opinion that the Cats are going to be just fine on the offensive line for several years to come. It's just the difference between someone like Landon Young that wants to see the program succeed and someone that's looking to use Alabama as a stepping stone. I completely understand why he chose Alabama but high school kids in the state of Kentucky should never complain about uk football unless they're ready to make a difference for their home school. Good luck to the young man and I'm thankful he didn't string uk along like D. H. did. If recruits can't see the improvements in facilities and in this case the improvement of our offensive line, then someone should open their eyes.

Must not be...Cal just lost 5* who stayed home to play for the Tide...thought that is the way it was with Cal that he got who ever he wanted

Cal has done well. And you know that "picking who you want" is a figure of speech. But you have to admit that Bama football and Kentucky Basketball do get a big share of the top players. Go Cats!!

Not really upset at Wills picking Bama, recruiting is of course, an inexact process. Our best OL according to most, is a walk-on ( Mosier ) so this can be overcome.
We return everyone but Toth and Myers, and have several OL redshirting. The future of our OL is very bright !

Not to pour more salt on a wound but with his commitment to AL then Trey Smith will probably commit to UT.
Smith may choose Tennessee, but it won't be because of Wills. Wills will play OG at Bama. If Smith chooses the Vols, he was always going to choose the Vols.

That's different tho, doesn't involve a lowly UK football coach.
Everything about AL Basketball is Lowly....Cal got beat out because the kid wanted to stay home and be a hero to his home state. So kids have a little more respect and pride for where they grow up. Some...well you get my point...

I don't have a clue if UK really ever had a chance with Wills. But the past 2 disappointing games didn't help their chances. IF Badet doesn't drop the long pass that likely would've won the UGA game and IF UK had tackled anybody in orange things could've been different...maybe. UK has GOT to stop giving games away then take their chances with these highly rated guys.

My son told me that Wills makes Bama's 5th 5* OL commitment in this class.

Now truly is this a surprise to any rational UK football fan? Far as I know Willis never led the UK staff on. Some fans particularly on this site manufacture falsehoods! Some of these fans are johnny come lately band wagon fans and others are not really through thick and thin CATS fans! There is a saying by us old Throughbred horse trainers "even hot spring water won't help". Far as I'm concerned that could apply to some fans!

When you say our o line will be fine, does that mean it will be as good as Bama's without guys like Wills? Nothing wrong with high school kids pointing out that uk football is pretty crappy compared with real Football schools.

Aren't a lot of OL like Alabama's? How many schools have UK's backcourt in basketball? Same thing

If you're going to compete in the SEC, you have to beat the likes of Bama. Thus, if you are not on their level, you won't be fine.

Great hire in Avery Johnson. I wouldn't be surprised if they moved a few notches up in the pecking order.

Comparing Alabama Football to Kentucky Basketball is Night & Day. Kentucky Basketball is a bottom feeder compared to Bama Football.

Too bad in that Toth will be an All-American and will have many productive NFL years.
Some 18 year-olds just want to go away from home. Happens.
