I have traveled four years in a row to Wilson (three times with my "Dogs" and yesterday) and cannot say one bad thing about your team, fans or facility. We had several people ask about Jordan Jefferson and about our season. I know there is a lot of rivalry between teams in the Shenandoah, but this outsider respects Wilson. Good luck this week! Thanks for the hospitality!

It was real good meeting you and one of your coaches! Glad we could talk football for a while. My dad and me enjoyed it that's for sure. You guys are welcome anytime!

There may not have been much sunlight but atleast when it came out it was on the side you sat on!

I was on the top row. Went down near the fence for about 5 minutes.... I was wearing a red Goochland jacket...

Glad you enjoyed your trip. There are very nice people here in the Shenandoah Valley, and that goes for everywhere in the Valley.

Is there plenty of seating at the stadium? I expect Richlands to bring a lot of fans....even with the long travel, I would expect at least 1000 to 1500 ... maybe more (about 1/3 of what they usually have at a home game).... They always travel pretty well, similar to Giles in that respect.

Wilson's side will be packed as well. From this area, both Wilson and Riverheads will fill up seats as we both love our teams. The last 4 games these two have played, there was estimated well over 5,000 people in attendance. This years game at Riverheads was shoulder to shoulder packed. There is plenty of room at the Hive and this should be a great game. Safe travels to those of you making the trip.

The biggest issue I have when I sit on the visitor's side at Wilson is the folks that stand along the fence/front row of the bleachers as the folks behind them can't see. It is so annoying, and it happens about every game. I would suggest that if Richlands is bringing their band, to not seat them in the bleachers--put them on the track.

This is why I like getting there 2 hours before the game starts.
I usually stand up on the top row so I don't encounter
those who block others' view. I've never sat on the visitors
side @ Wilson so I can't comment but it does sound annoying.

I try to get a spot on the top row as well, so I can stand instead of sit and I don't like being claustrophobic in the middle of all the crowds lol

Hopefully they will have some chairs out to the right of the bleachers (if you are looking at the field from the visitor's side) for your band, so they don't have to rope off a section for them in the bleachers. That area to the right doesn't usually have any people standing there so I would think it would be ideal for the band. I have seen some other area high schools put the band on the track, usually when the middle school band joins the high school band. It would give you guys some more seating for sure.
