I played on the 98’ Tarboro Squad that played Shelby in the state championship, Shelby was a beast, much respect.

That year Shelby was the team ,fast ,tricky,and a D that would tear your head off then shake your hand after game..good year fun to watch!
How big is tarboro school and are they going to 2A next year shift?

We give Tarboro their toughest game every year. I would hardly call that scared.
But this isn't about SWE. This is about the all-star team from Wilson.

I hate prep schools that compete against "regular" schools. It's just not fair. 31-6 in your first 3 years of fielding a team? Back to back basketball state championships in your first 6 years? Come on now....
What does all of this have to do with Mount Airy? They've never lost to Wilson Prep and only Tarboro once. They have more wins than both combined.

Ive been a fan of Craddock and that offense for years.... Even ran it in little league when I coached... I mentioned little league because another team there had the big man that got hurt for yall maybe first drive...his lkids went to Springmore elementary in Boiling springs before he moved away.... Mooring was his last name, wonderful fella....such a nice man...

The final 4 wish they were Mount Airy. Mount Airy only has 2 losses ever to teams in the final 4.
It takes a team like Wallace-Rose Hill to compete with Tarboro and a team like Havelock to "humble" them, and both those teams are in completely different classifications

Havelock would humble every 1a team this year fwiw. As for your school rosewood, hope Tarboro plays them again. Tarboro owes them a butt whooping after that BS fight y'all started

With so many 1A teams having to play both ways, it was great that Tarboro fought and stayed in that game with Havelock late into the 3rd, but eventually the numbers game takes its toll. They showed out well for that one.
Even with the loss I was impressed how well Tarboro played them. That third quarter was when Havelock started to land those Ivan drago style punches and pull away. I do believe that game made Tarboro a better team getting tested like that.
He will see what “taking it to them” is all about in about five minutes of game action
