Will never be able to defend, but he blocks ut and rebounds well, can put the ball on the floor and drive on his man and.is pretty consistent. I cant figuenout why he seeks to be gonzagas last gonto option? Hes 45 perc from 3 but only takes 4 per game? Few needs to figurebout uow tongetbhim the ballnkorenoften imo!

He has three things going for him... 6'10" can really shoot. and he hustles, but you can tell it is a struggle for him to keep up.

If Wiltjer played more minutes here he could have very easily averaged 15-20ppg. Wiltjer's problem here with Coach Cal is that he just didn't play the Defense that satisified Coach Cal. Wiltjer was taken out of the game more because of his lack of Defense not because of his offense. He would have been another shooter and 3-point threat that we could have used this year to go along with Booker and Harrision. Few doesn't worry so much on the defense side of the ball for Wiltjer as long as he is scoring his 15-20ppg. He is averaging almost 17ppg this year and 6rpg.

You guys must have missed that monster follow dunk last night by Wiltjer. He went Montrezl afterwards. Joking aside, I wish Kyle well, but that was one of the biggest perfect storm, candy hops I've ever seen. It's not often you see a guy running full steam, jumping off one leg, and getting the ball right in front of you next to the goal, off a missed shot.

Yes I saw that and you did a perfect job describing it.

Maybe I just don't understnad, but Gonzaga doesn't impress me at all. Pantos is good but the rest look like they would struggle against a solid defense.

If Willis was smart he would do the same unless he wants to ride the bench each and every year.

He definitely has improved. Seems more relaxed with his shot. I think the dribble drive was a bad offense for him. He is not exactly a physical type player.

I do agree w kbstang, that gonzaga is not what they are being crackd up to be. They will put up lots of points against poor defenses, but are at best a 4 seed in a normal year. Well beat them by 40plus if we want.

Any time you put a good player on a team with lesser players playing against teams of lesser players, the surrounding players will make it seem that that good player has "improved." Kyle is the same player he always was, but two years older, two years more mature, and two years stronger, playing in a "B" league with and against "B" players. There's no more to his "transformation" than that. This thesis will be borne out in the NCAA tournament.

Just MHO, of course.

Chris Marcus at wku was the next great big man. Until he faced a decent big man.
Same scenario.
Kyle is a great offensive mind, and that's about all u can say for him

I agree wholeheartedly. Willis is just a wasted talent, but if he is content with that, then I hope he is happy.

I agree about Willis, no one even mentions his name when talking about next year. Every recruit and potential recruit is ranked above him. Really would like to see him get a real chance to play. I kow of one Kentucky mid-major team that loses a couple bigs after this year that could use someone like him. BUT, like you said "if he's happy"
