You werent the only one who thought he got a tattoo.. the far away shot made it look that way..
Just sticky medical tape to hold his shoulder in place due to a injury
Kyle Wiltjer is such a goofy unathletic clown. And he's a quitter..He couldn't and still can't play defense, he's slow..he can't jump, and he couldn't hack it at UK, becomes a QUITTER instead of staying and putting in hard work to play, then goes out West to play for those Gonzaga pu$$ies. What a chump. And I hope and pray that he and Gonzaga are UK's 2 seed..so UK can absolutely demolish those wimps.

I would say Kyle is doing pretty good for himself.
He averaged 10 ppg and 5 rpg in about 20 mpg as the sixth man on UK's 2012 NCAA Championship winning team. (on this point alone you should harness your hatred)He is averaging about 16 points and 5 rpg in about 28 mpg for a Top Ten team this season.He has another year of eligibility left to hone his skills.He will be playing at the next level in a couple of years. (Will he be an All-Star? No. Will he get drafted? Yes.He still has a good relationship with Cal...who BTW is on record as saying Kyle made the right decision.He is smart enough and hard working enough to do all of the above in spite of his lack of athletic ability and horrid defense.
He's a quitter? Seems to me he's still playing basketball. He didn't quit anything. He found a better situation for himself and moved on to it. This Leroy guy needs some perspective.

Tape in general does very little. It's loose within the first half hour of action. Basically useless at that point.
It took a lot of fortitude for KW to make the decision to change schools. He didn't allow relationships; pride; or even the predictable snarky comments from fans to stand in the way of doing what he thought was in his best interests. I'd hope my son would have the guts to do the same thing...and do it in a way that allowed him to keep a good relationship with his former coach.
If he plays KY, I hope he lights us up for 40....but we still win the game. Hope he's a first round pick.

I think most UK fans wish Kyle well unless and until he faces Kentucky. That's how I feel about him. He's a good guy. He's a very skilled offensive player. He contributed to a title team for Kentucky. His shortcomings are well documented. Why all the hate?
Must be a troll. No one in their right mind could have this POV and still be able to type. He is just trying to give something for UL trolls to copy and paste onto their site and run 14 pages of comments on. I'd rather have a good story of Kyle leaving and leading a team to success than players getting kicked off of a team and getting arrested. But that's just me.

When I first saw it, I thought it was a tattoo also. Then they showed it from another angle and it was obviously some trainer gone crazy with tape.
As far as Kyle goes, I was disappointed when he left but I think he really made the best choice. I have actually caught a number of Zag games this year and I can't front, he has been baling. In the span of a few plays he hit a 3, did a put back dunk and made a nice pass, all of which inspired his team to take a lead in a tight game. It is hard to hate a player like that.
All of that said, if we do get zaga in our bracket may god have mercy.

Wiltjer is one among many who would have problems of making UK's starting lineup this year. In fact, playing as many minutes at UK his freshmen and soph years.pretty much wipe out your descriptions of him.and rightly so. I think he made the right move for himself by transferring.
High School Scouting reports on Larry Bird sounded much like your description of Wiltjer. He's certainly not in Birds class, but who is? I wish he had stayed at UK, I wish him all the luck except when playing UK and I may pull for him a little anyway.. He seemed to be a good person.

There's a way to state that you think he is an average player at best and that he wouldn't have played on this year's team, etc...etc...But calling him the names you called him isn't cool.
