Cold showering is rough. I can only do it during the summer months.. but trying to take a cold shower when it's 15 degrees out, just isn't happening.

I do a lot of breathing techniques and cold-ish water "plunges" at the gym, though. Sit in Sauna/Steam/Hottub for a 15 minutes, jump into 60 degree pool. Very good for circulation and your central nervous system. But IDK how people can do it with an ice bath.

I did the breathing for a while and got up to about 3 minutes without inhaling. Did it during COVID to improve the immune system.

The ice baths aren't for me. Dr. David Sinclair a professor of genetics who specializes in aging research also recommends ice baths to reduce the aging process.

I have generalized anxiety disorder. I've tried and tried and tried breathing techniques along with meditation. I just can't get out of my head. The people that would benefit the most from these things have the hardest difficulty settings.

...So I eat weed gummies every evening.

I took daily cold showers for over a year. It's an acquired taste for sure -- and there's an absolutely huge difference in a July cold shower vs a January cold shower.

I feel your pain, man. I have it too. Meditation/prayer has been huge in getting my life back. Especially getting my sleep back

Cold showers are a must; you get used to them and they are invigorating. Initially can ween yourself into it by gradually adjusting water colder.

Then progress to contrast showers, hot then cold shock every 60/20 seconds whatever. It's worth it.

I'd rather die wrinkled up and aged looking than cold water torture myself every day. Why is it that everything that's supposed to be good for you sucks?
