Yes. That would at worst, put us in a two way tie with Virginia. And obviously we would hold the tie breaker. I think we would also hold the tie breaker in a three way tie due to having the better record vs the other two teams in the tie.

Virginia would be 1-2
Duke would be 3-1
unc would be 1-2

If we win our then there would be no way that there could be a 3 way tie because UNC would have 3 losses if we win out.

And this is incredibly important. The 1 seed in the ACCT will have to play the winner of the 2-3 game (obviously). I'd love to play UNC or UVA the night after they've played each other. I would prefer not to play one of UVA or UNC and then the other the next night.
.
I want the one seed in the East. Not the south. The 2 seed in the south could be UK, and the Elite Eight is in Louisville. Give me the East with Texas Tech or Marquette as the 2. Heck, if we lose to UNC and then lose in the ACCT, we might be the 2 seed in South vs UK as the 1 seed. No me gusta.
.

I agree. Next 4 huge. remember the tourney is a TV show...the bracket will have Kensucky and Duke for a rematch somewhere between the elite 8- and natty champ game. Ratings, ratings, ratings, ad dollars, and more ratings.

Duke will not get a 2 seed. The team has one loss this year with a full squad. In all honesty they are still the number one over all seed.

If Duke wins the ACC Regular Season Championship or ACC Tournament Championship then they will be a #1 seed. If Duke wins both the regular season and tournament conference championships then Duke is for sure the overall #1 seed imo.

Doubt you have to worry about that. With the way the teams are playing Duke and UK will be a one seed. Would likely meet in the title game at best since the Zags would likely be the fourth number one see with UK as the two and Virgina/UNC as the three

Fair enough. I don't want to play the 2 seed UK Wildkittens in Louisville.
.
For us to fall to a 2 would take a lot. For that to happen we'd have to lose 1-2 games in the ACC regular season, and then not win the ACCT.
We'd have to fall off the 1 line for UK to move up, imo. I think UT wins in Knoxville in the rematch, which means UK would need help to move to 1. UK probably doesn't care. They have likely secured the South bracket, and they'd be fine as a 10 seed so long as they play weekend 2 in Louisville.
.
We could win either the ACC reg season or the ACCT, but not both, and we'd still be a 1 seed. But maybe that one is in the South with UK as our 2. As stated above, we'd have to fall off the 1 line to move UK up. But if we aren't the top 1 seed out of the ACC, we might get the South Regional, featuring UK playing in front of a crowd that will be 80% frothing Kitten fans.

That’s why K burned Baker’s redshirt! He knows the last few games are important for seeding! He’s trying to win #6 by any means necessary!

Every game is big and every win is even bigger. We haven't locked up a #1 seed by any means. We need Zion back as soon as he is ready and every possible weapon we have should be at Coach K's hand . As far as Baker'sredshirt being burned maybe Coach K saw he would be needed. To answer why he has not played this year I can't answer that other than Coach K has his reasons. He felt an adjustment was needed and I stand behind that and support it. OFC

Right! Meaning he’s not taking anything for granted (not saying he ever has) but he’s using everything in his power to deliver a title for this team and I’m here for it!

UK could likely keep the one seed even if they lose at UT since IT has lost two and the three teams behind UK have all lost this week. UNC would have a chance to move up to that one seed but that means they would beat Duke again which would give UK a one seed. Everyteam seems to hold their own destiny in their hands

And, again, not all number 1 seeds are created equal. 1 in the East would be great. 1 in the south playing UK in Louisville isn't great.

Not worried about Kentucky, they are not that good. Hope we get them in our bracket again, love to watch us give them another beatdown. Then their ignorant will make 1000 excuses lol.

Here's how I see the 1 seeds: Gonzaga, ACC team, ACC team, SEC team

Gonzaga- lock. Ain't no one beating them in the WCC. No one wants a 1 seed in the West anyway.

ACC- will get 2 #1 seeds. UNC has a distinct possibility if they could win the ACC Regular Season Title and/or Tournament Title. They're still a bit behind Duke and UVA, of course.

SEC- solid race between Kentucky, Tennessee, and LSU. I think we'll see 1 SEC team earn a #1 seed.

Other possible 1 seeds: Michigan, Michigan State, Houston. Each of these teams could potentially merit a 1 seed if they play really, really well down the stretch.

KY is not the same team Duke embarrassed in November. They’re playing a lot better on both offense and defense. I think Duke is still the better team because our players are simply more talented than theirs and we have the better coach, but it would be a much closer game.

Still possible, but need to play very well down the stretch: Michigan, Michigan State, Houston
LSU has a terrible SOS. They’d have to win out in incredible fashion to make a case for a 1 seed.

#33 SOS according to KenPom (better than Tennessee's, FWIW). They have had a fairly light SEC Schedule, however. But, if they were to win the regular season title AND the SEC Conference Tournament, it would be really hard to pass on them.

That’s better than I thought. I swear I saw it was in the 200s recently, but I could be mistaken.

I think if we win tonight we could almost lock up a 1 seed. I think we could potentially lock up the 1 in the east by winning the next four.
