I believe Wisconsin is traveling out west for this game and it sounds like this game is going to be a good one but I think UCLA beats them by 14 or maybe a tad more. Not sure if UCLA’s Quarterback is out but what are your thoughts and opinions on this game…. Who do you got and why?

Their QB is out for the rest of the season, (torn ACL I believe). Not sure if that changes things much, but you would think it would. Still they run the ball well, and play good defense. I know many will disagree, (fook Wisconsin) and all but I'd like to see the badgers win a close hard fought game. Bucky already has a loss, and we'll have a chance of giving them another, and I think their remaining schedule is tougher then UCLA who is undefeated and we don't get a shot at them. Better for the Hawks in the playoff picture.

UCLA QB is out. Wisconsin is certainly better than last year BUT their toughest game so far was the win against Penn State which doesn't look quite as impressive as it did at the time. I think UCLA takes them at home even though their back up did not look so hot (but now he has had a full week to prepare) and behind him the the starter's brother. If I were a betting man I would take the under.

Wisconsin has #15 defense, second in the country in yards per play, without the threat of the pass/nico, they will just load the box. Oregon without Dante Moore hasn’t looked very good, I doubt that’s a close game with Dante Moore Vs ucla.

I think Wisconsin has a good shot here.

UCLA's quarterback is out. I expect a low scoring game. Wisconsin's defense is improved. UCLA forced 7 turnovers against Oregon, SEVEN, and still won just 17-15.

20-13 - Wisconsin

Agree. I do always wonder about the term "forced". I mean Ive seen guys throw horrendous interceptions in some games, and they weren't exactly forced or return guys just drop the darn kick. I haven't watched that game, but I wonder how many were just gifts. That's a ton of TO's for one game.

Actually surprised by the line on this game being UCLA -2.5. Dieffenbach is really nothing impressive, and his stats from Cal Poly were yikes. I expect Wisconsin to shut down knight, and if that happens it becomes lopsided.

You are correct, UCLA needs to lose a few and the hawks control their destiny and the win-loss column by playing Wisky

It would be nice if things work out well for us to have a win on the road against Minnesota, Then beat a #20ish Wisconsin (after their UCLA win), then go on the road and beat a #17ish NW (assuming they win their next 3 games which would include @ Oregon). If all that happens, and Nebraska is somehow able to run the table outside of Ohio State, they'd probably be ranked low #20's when we meet, and I think we could possibly be afforded a loss to them at home, albeit a close game, and still make the playoffs.

Beat Nebraska and the above scenario plays out, we would be ranked 8th or higher.

But if our only losses are against a 1-loss Ohio State and a 2-loss Nebraska, I think we'd be in the top 12.

Indiana, Ohio State, Iowa, and possibly USC in the playoffs.

Yep. Dieffenbach was mediocre in his one season starting at Cal Poly. Before that he spent two seasons at Pitt and never played. The only other UCLA QB to take a college snap is Nico's younger brother, who has attempted one pass and it was incomplete. The Bruins are unlikely to generate much offense, so advantage Badgers.

Thing that really helps Iowa is Oregon, PSU and Michigan collapse this year.

I'm leaning Wisconsin this game. UCLA's win over Oregon is not tremendously impressive given all of the Ducks turnovers, and poor coaching decisions. Now they are missing the starting QB for the year.

Edit: Forgot the obligatory F*ck Wisconsin!

I still think UCLA ROLLS WISCONSIN… even without their QB… too many outside weapons and it’s at home (for what that really matters) but I think UCLA is on a roll and will beat the Badgers and bring them back down to earth

Easiest money of the weekend was the Purdue/Wash over. Ohio St to cover being the second most. This game is tough to predict. I’d lean Wisconsin. I’m steering clear of it though.

In 2 loss scenario I think Nebraska would take Iowa's playoff slot. You can't ignore a head to head result between teams with identical records.

Would have won by 17 if our coach wasn't a class act and hadn't decided to take a knee with under 2 minutes and the ball at the 3 yard line. Diffenbach threw for 264 yards.

Chesney and this coaching staff are legit. Solid coach with a great game plan for the program, down to the minutiae. Has these guys believing they are world beaters. Can't wait to see what he can do after bringing in some top recruiting and TP classes. Had the #17 ranked class after being here a few months and not coaching a game yet.

I was skepticallly optimistic. But never in my wildest dreams would I have expected to be ranked in top 10 so soon. I'm a believer. Dude is a winner who's going to do great things here. On top of all that, he's actually a great human being as well. Treats everybody with respect, and it's genuine. The stories are all true. Responding to anybody who writes him with handwritten letters. Took the time to look into a Grad Asst who had written him to network. Found out his father died of Leukemia and had a foundation. Not only did Chesney donate to his father's foundation but also other Cancer Foundations. That coach is now UCLA OC Dean Kennedy. Kennedy said he wrote to hundreds of coaches, only 2 responded. Texted Lanning, after flying in from MD game at midnight, that if need be, he could drop by the hospital and check in on Dante. Wanted to make sure the kid wasn't in a hospital bed alone. Knew Lanning would be worried about his QB that he had just left in LA, as Chesney would be if it was his player. Sorry for the long rant. Was searching for UCLA threads and came upon this one. Good luck this year. GO BRUINS!!!!

Only thing I got wrong was the comment on the backup.......he looked pretty damn good for a first start. Should only get better from here. Hope they piss pound USC later on. They have a real shop at being undefeated now.
