Wishes do come true

My son turned six on Monday. He's not as big of an NU fan as his older brother. I believe his three favorite basketball players on the Cats are B-Mac, Justin Jackson, and Austin Carr.

That said, when he blew out his candles Monday he whispered into my ear "I wished for Northwestern to win in the NCAA tournament." Wishes do come true sometimes.

During the game today, my seven year old son came in the room, looked at the TV, and randomly said, "That's Scotty Lindsey. He's my favorite player". We hadn't even been talking about Scotty or any of the other players - he must have just remembered his name from a previous game. Kids sure do get smart fast.
