Agree. And a lot of good things were said about Dort when he committed.
None, Cedrick Dort is one of the leaders of our class and one of the first to commit. Great size and film he will be a good one
It's my understanding that Dort is planning to enroll in the spring semester. I think both of them will RS, and they both will be really good players down the road.
To answer your question, virtually zero IMO.
I know football recruiting is a business decision for both the player and team but I believe Coach Stoops values loyalty and his word. If UK accepted their commitment, I believe they will honor the players scholarship offer.
I wouldn't worry as much on the star level or scholarships remaining. Some position players will be worth more to the team as we narrow down the recruiting class. With the semester winding down there are always 1-2 players that we discover did not make the grades to continue; thus freeing up another one of the 85 spots. Does someone else get arrested for doing something stupid over the break? Stuff happens... so don't throw a 2 star kid under the bus to "potentially" make room for a 4 star. Wait until someone flips to another school then jump on another player.
As I remember it, a player on bb scholarship who also plays fb will count against the fb numbers. Didn't look it up, just a recollection.
I believe it would count against the total limit of 85 but not towards the class limit. Given the roster situation I don't think it would help anyway.
True, don't recall the exact wording but you can't hide people elsewhere to play football. Call it the "Bear Bryant Rule". He supposedly had guys on golf scholarship playing football while at UK.
Academic Scholarships.. preferred walk-on football player. However, they would miss out on some incentives that come with a football scholarship. It could work, but not likely.
Only if they have not been recruited. A player who was previously offered a scholarship was, obviously, recruited and would count.
Caveman, I'm with you that our coaches can evaluate talent, but I have not met, or known many coaches who can evaluate heart. When a player is from the state, where he is going to school, I truly believe he has an extra incentive to be successful. No one want to fail in front of your family and friends when your from a small town.

Some will decommit, others will transfer and some will give up football. Happens everywhere, so should be plenty of room.
And he was not just rated as a two star, but a LOW 5.2 two star. Then again Dickie Lyons Jr was rated a 4.9.
I especially trust the staff's evaluation ability on DB's. I know little about Dort, but Stoops and company can evaluate DB's from what I have seen.

Dort and nesbitt showed out at camp. Both are long and have frames to add weight. I like both corners very much. Not sure why Dort is a 2 star but the coaches jumped at hiscommit
