No kidding. Chapelle is the only guy to come close to their consistency. It's so tough to put out that kind of quality in the sketch comedy genre. Usually only about a third of it is any good.

Odenkirk is still very underrated even after Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. The guy wrote some classic stuff (see: van down by the river).

Anybody else watch it yet. Some good moments but nothing that matched Mr.Show at it's best. Heaven is Totes Realz was decent along with country music parody "All I Need" and Better Roots was ok. I say this as someone who thinks Mr. Show was the greatest sketch show ever.

To me it got better as it went along, and I thought the last episode was the best. The heaven sketch and the salesmen sketch were excellent. Really hope they come back at some point and do more. Hard to recreate Mr. Show, and I don't think they really tried to do that, but I'll be a sucker for anything those guys do.

I recommend watching again. As great as their stuff was, most times it was even better the second time. First episode was better on second viewing.

Really liked episodes 1 and 4. Really hope they continue to make new stuff, and I wish they'd bring some new guys on board as writers. Keegan-Michael Key was in one of the sketches; I'd like to see what he and Peele could bring to the mix in that format. Their cable show had its moments (see below: NSFW)
