I figured Bunchy would move to C to take Toth's spot and Meyers would start at RG again being a Sr. But now with Meyers leaving does Bunchy stay at RG and Drake Jackson start at C? Or will Tate Leavitt move to OG and start since he was having so much trouble at OT? Do we have enough OT depth so GAA can start at RG? He is definately one of the five best linemen on the team so we have to get him in there. What do you all think?

Pretty sure Bunchie will be the C with either Leavitt(been at G all fall) or GAA at RG. Hopefully they can finally plug GAA into his more natural position. That would mean Jackson's Bunchie's backup but I think Jackson can play G too. Then Meadows and Fortner at RT. Guess they'll sort that out come spring.

Here's my prediction.

LT- Cole Mosier, Landon Young
LG-Nick Haynes, Logan Stenberg
C- Bunchie Stallings, Drake Jackson
RG - Big George, Drake Jackson/Bunchie
RT - Kyle Meadows, Tate Leavitt
I could very well be wrong just my guess though. That's still a 9 man rotation. GO BIG BLUE!

Didn't we rotate 9 guys this year? If we're rotating that much, maybe it's not that important who starts.

Yes but the starters played more than the backups and we didn't rotate Toth's spot. Jackson is too good not to play so that's why I'm anxious to see what we'll do.

I don't think Tate is still at OT but I could be wrong. Hopefully Mason Wolfe improves enough to be the RT backup. And I've heard very good reviews on Fortner but Idon't know what position he was practicing at.

Right re Leavitt, he was moved to G at the start of fall practice. Fortner's highly regarded, said to be very versatile as he could play any OL position including C, but I think T is where he'll be most needed.

If there's somebody better than him, then he is not too good to play. He'll be a redshirt freshman. He can sit on the bench one more year. In 2018, we'll have plenty of openings. We have to get used to having depth and good players not playing. As another coach said, this is not communism.

I think Bunchy goes to Center and we rotate Haynes, Stenberg and Drake Jackson as guard spots....possibly Leavitt if he improves in off season. I think GAA stays at tackle IMO.

Correct!

We're so used to having to play talented kids too early that it actually seems odd to have a talented redshirt freshman as a backup. Folks, four-star players riding the pine until they're redshirt juniors is the way of the world for SEC teams that go to bowl games.

This is a good thing.

I think jackson starts at center. Bunchy stays at guard where he is dominating. Starting 5 will be mosier haynes drake stallings george. Thats a very athletic team especially at the guard spots. Meadows stenberg leavitt young your main back ups. Drake will start imo because it keeps a dominate player at a position he has experience in Stallings
