With the way the SEC has dominated the NCAA this season...

making the rules would be letting the SEC make it's own rules. Players at Alabama and Florida would be driving 24K gold Hummers while State and Kentucky get the death penalty for making a call in the dead period. The SEC has shown no ability to promote fairness and even less to self-police. I'm not a huge fan of how the NCAA handles it's business but they seem to be the less of all evils right now.
