I usually do these on the 3A board but since there are a bunch of 1A teams playing, some for the first time, I figured I would post them here. Good luck to all the WNC teams playing Friday night. I always pull for all the local teams in the playoffs. Here are this weeks games.

My picks..
Erwin 28 Mt Tabor 21 - Erwin has an explosive offense and their defense has improved through out the season. They are itching at another shot at revenge for their one loss to Reynolds next week. That wont be easy because MT is the real deal. They are playing very good right now with an explosive qb.
Reynolds 24 Sun Valley 21 - Sun Valley has been knocked out two years in a row by WMAC teams ( Erwin 16 & ACR 17) but this year will be another very tough test. You have two teams with lots of D1 talent including ACR qb Alex Flynn(East Carolina) and SV qb Sam Howell(Florida State) on display Friday night. Should be a good one.
Randleman 42 Brevard 21...Brevard has had a fine season and looked like the Devils of the past. I think that comes to a end Friday night.
MH 35 Hend 21...Rd 2 for these two teams. Heritage is a legit title contender if they can just get through powerhouse Reidsville after losing 2 years in a row to them. Don't overlook Hendo though or they will be in trouble.
Mt Airy 42 Swain 14.. Swain has a great tradition but they are down by their standards this year. It looks like Mt Airy is on a collision course with powerhouse Tarboro again this season.
North Rowan 28 Polk 14...Pol pulled the big upset in week one but not this week. NR will be ready
Robbinsville 28 Elkin 14...Everyone is talking about Murphy and Mitchell while the Knights fly under the radar but don't sleep on them.
Mitchell 38 Cherokee 21...Cherokee had the dream season last but lost a lot to graduation and that will be the difference this season. Mitchell lost to two of the best teams in WNC so their record is a little deceiving.
Murphy 48 Alleghany 10.. As long as Murphy does not focus on next weeks huge showdown with Mitchell they should cruise in this one.
