I know all the chatter here is about the meltdown last night but let’s give some props to the women, who won again today 82-59 on the road at PSU.

19-3 overall, 9-2 in the B1G, and a shot at a B1G title, top 4 seed and hosting the first 2 rounds.

I wish we had more games on BTN but I’ve really enjoyed watching the team this season when they’ve been on. Looking forward to watching an NU team with a legit chance at a Sweet 16 run!

I was just thinking the same thing. A nice WBB postseason run will wash the bad taste from this MBB season away a bit quicker.

I also hope that they would televise more WBB games.

We really struggled in the first half, but buried PSU with a 29-6 third quarter.

Week 14 rankings:
#21 - AP Ranking (Up 2 spots)
TBD - Coaches Poll (Week 14 Coaches poll not released yet. Effectively #26 last week.)

Meanwhile, in computer rankings:
#13 - Massey Ratings

#15 - RealTimeRPI
http://www.realtimerpi.com/rpi_Women.html
#15 - Sonny Moore's Computer Rankings

Interestingly, the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Committee will reveal their current Top 16 seeds tonight at 7pm ET. There will be another preliminary Top 16 announcement on March 2. Neither preliminary seeding really means anything, but I am curious to see if the committee values Northwestern similar to the computer rankings...or more along the lines of the AP and Coaches Polls.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind if the 'Cats are left off the list for this first seeding announcement. I suspect that this would only add more motivational fuel to their fire.

Being ranked behind Indiana, a team we beat in their building and are multiple games better than, is beyond parody.

While it might wash it away quicker, it won't be by much

We are #16 in the committee rankings released today, which is huge on the women's side because that would mean we'd get to host the first two rounds.

Maryland is #8 and Iowa is #15. Indiana is not in the top 16.
