Picked up their 8th BIG ten victory with a 78-63 home win vs. second division Penn State that was not as close as the score indicated. Everyone who was healthy except for Brooke Pikiell played, and 9 players scored, including Jess Sacataldo, who had not scored since December!. Lindsey Pulliam led the way with 22 for her ninth 20 pt, game of the season (and she's only a sophmore!), and Abi Scheid added 14 pts, including 4-5 from three! Jordan Hamilton had 12, and Veronica Burton had 9 and 7 assists in a balanced attack. PKA had a rare non double-double night (4pts and 8 boards) primarily because a) we shot so well and b) she got into second-half foul trouble, and after she was pulled with her 4th, there was not need to put her back in. Once again our defense was stifling, holding yet another opponent to under 40% (34% including 4-20 from 3 that was 2-18 until two straight 3s in garbage time).
With the win, we moved back into a tie for 4th at 8-6 and 15-10 overall. Next up is a road contest vs. Purdue, who is just one game behind us in the standings in a tightly bunched BIG, where the difference between 4th and 11th is just 2 games!
