Obsession.

From 2000 to 2019, a 20-year span mind you, the ACC has produced eight national champions, or 40%. Louisville also won one in that timeframe, although they were in the Big East at the time (2013).

My guess is Cal would be disappointed to see the overall records over the same span by conference. I get that he’s standing up for the SEC as he should, but to compare them to the ACC is probably the wrong approach.

I've never seen a coach whine like Cal.

Whining is big business for the greasy blabber mouth. ESPN will feature him on the NCAA Tournament selection show to whine about his seeding. Pussycat fans swear ESPN hates them, but they give their crybaby coach a platform to complain about his seed and path in the tournament.

See Cal is smart. He knows his fan base carry more lunatics than your average fan base. He also knows they’re less than smart. So what he does is blame everyone IF they lose on the front end and if they happen to win, it was the GREATEST thing ever because they beat massive odds. Cal knows he doesn’t want those yahoo’s on his front lawn so he blames everyone else first so they don’t come after him.

I think Cals obsession of Duke is controlling Cal and many of the Rupp Rafters fans. Its something connected to jealousy about every day over there. It’s bordering on insanity because what K has done to them on the court and the recruiting trail. They are a strangely vindictive fan base. Must be something you get when you start losing teeth or tooth’s.

It’s insane just not at how many Duke haters there are out there, but there are also a TON of ACC haters in general as well. A lot people love seeing ACC teams lose in the tournament. It’s annoying to also have our conference hated on as well. Just as you put it, the ACC performs better in the tournament more years than not, than any other conference. Probably where the hate comes from.
