Wondering what happened to my thread on the on field interruption.

Can anyone hear that ticking? It’s the countdown before Florida nukes another thread. Another thread with lots of views, participation and entertainment value - that might drive some of those ads too…. 3…2….1….

Yes. Defund the NU police cause the kids will enjoy the Evanston cops so much more. Sometimes folks simply don’t think through the whole process.
NU is about to defund the Fraternity System, which is where as I understand it, all of this started.

And if anyone tanks the baseball thread with this stuff, I swear I’ll cancel them.

I think this should be the pay board. This stuff is more interesting than what Fitz isn't going to do to right his ship.

Remember those human dummies torn to shreds during the Alamogordo atomic bomb test?

That's also where the giant, monster ants came from.

I'm here for the entertainment value as well.

I'm also surprised how long this thread has been left up for.
Watch out! The thought police will figure out that we’re all too immature for this subject matter and wipe it out.

God forbid adults discuss what they want online.

I think the key thing the mods need to realize is that despite the heated talk and against our better judgment, most of us in these threads kinda like each other.

There were one or two who have disappeared who didn't seem to like anybody, and probably hold #1 and #2 for getting threads deleted. Other than that, I kinda agree with you.

Defund NU parking enforcement. There’s a protest worth getting behind
If it had been the job of NU Parking Enforcement, NU would be #1 on US News & World Report Best Universities by now. Perhaps put them in charge of the Athletic Department.

New statement by the University just came out, saying that the Saturday protest violated University policy on demonstrations and that the individuals involved will be held accountable, including possible suspension, expulsion, and legal consequences. It only took them 72 hours. Maybe Mr. Ryan made a call.

Whenever I get a cold call from some poor undergrad in a work-study job shilling for donations, I tell them I've already made enough donations to the school to last me a lifetime through all the parking fines I paid when I was in school.

Gragg owes me some season tickets and face time with Fitz.

Of course. If there is any University in this country that shrinks from bad publicity over problems of their own making, it is NU. The problem is not the protesters. The University should be focused on producing a better product on the same field the protesters commandeered.

Also free speech--the recent increase in COVID has been largely among the unvaccinated, and this is a very large number of people. This has nothing to do with the NU protests, although is tangentially related, in that NU and Rivals seems to have a problem with free speech (hereon to be known by the acronym FS).

Was the protest really just against the football team? That other stuff was window dressing?

Totally lame and late response. Let their freak flags fly! If it was such a big deal, why didn’t security do something in the moment.

This thread should have been deleted the moment someone made fun of my little hands.

They should be expelled and then get the crap beat out of them on the way out of Evanston. Bunch of WOK whiny little pricks.

I would sit down and buy gcg and corbi a drink while I explain how clueless they are :)

willy pointed out to me at one point that we had met. Cool. I’m all about discourse. Let’s talk about stuff. I’m anti gun, anti violence. Some of the best revelations have been beat into to me in heated discussion. Among the worse feelings in life is realizing you were probably wrong. Among the best character attributes is to be ok with it. The absolute worst attribute is to assume you were the one that was right and your adversary wrong and expect capitulation.

But I love debate. Good spirited debate. The demise of it is what drove me away from law. I would have loved to spend days bantering with Madison, Washington, Munroe and the like. Those boys knew how to mix it up intellectually.

And some National publicity. I was among the students that tore down the goal posts twice. Second time, I almost got arrested - I kicked the guy away and disappeared in the crowd. But as an athlete, and since he was a higher up in NUPD, I saw him repeatedly. I always sweat it. To this day, I remember him, wonder if he knew who I was and could have brought me in.

Students make short sighted decisions. I made a bunch. The problem is that some how they were ALLOWED to enter the field and remain. Those folks need to be canned.

Easy bob, you are going to get another thread deleted because you never bantered with Madison, Washington and Monroe and you cannot spell.
