Not so hot without makeup and air brushing to make her look good......
.........
I’m not sure what’s worse, Mule’s horrific word play, her music, or that he actually knew a song by her to make said word play.Oof.
I think they were all equally bad. I can't resist a good dad joke though, and that one fit the bill. Obviously we all know the song or no one would have gotten the bad joke. I may be a simple caveman, but I don't live in a cave.I’m not sure what’s worse, Mule’s horrific word play, her music, or that he actually knew a song by her to make said word play.
I didn’t get it. I proudly have allowed my dadness to overtake any connection I have with the pop standards.I think they were all equally bad. I don't follow pop music, probably haven't since the late 80's. I do get exposed to it some though. The song in question is over a decade old, I think. Back then I was single and still hanging out in bars. That was most of my exposure then.I didn’t get it. I proudly have allowed my dadness to overtake any connection I have with the pop standards.
And I’m working on my embarrassment repertoire
Sadly, I haven’t been hip since a couple of months as a freshman in high school. The music I like was popular in the 60’s and 70’s, Petty, DMB, Phish, and Panic being the only exceptions.I don't follow pop music, probably haven't since the late 80's. I don't think I was hip, just that those were the only radio stations close enough to get reliably. I remember when I discovered I could get WCLG on my old boombox when I was a teenager. They played some good classic rock back in the 80's and 90's. I have no idea what their format is now. I also had a buddy who was huge into Rush. I listened to a lot of that in the mid-80's. It doesn't really excite me much any more though.Sadly, I haven’t been hip since a couple of months as a freshman in high school. I have three daughters, so I’m sure my exposure will be at unbearable levels soon enough.
