Worley and the Pros

Is it just me or did Worley not seem to impress much during his junior season? I would think coming back for his senior year and working his tail off "could" have national pundits praising his play. He has the physical tools to be a first round pick, but needs that final year to stake the claim IMO.

He does not have close to the physical tools to be a 1st round draft choice. He doesn't even have the tools to play corner in the NFL. He is not fast enough, quick enough or agile enough and lacks the balance to cover elite receivers. We saw that repeatedly when he got matched against elite college WRs. Almost everyone in the NFL is on the level of the type of receivers against which he is overmatched. He's not even that good a college cornerback and would be much better suited to play safety at this level.

If he got drafted at all it would be late if some team thought they could work with him and make him an adequate NFL safety.

I thought he markedly improved his play over the last half of season...he did have some issues that may have been hanging over his head at beginning of season and perhaps that contributed to a slow start, not sure...
Don't think he has all the tools to be a first round pick regardless. But for a Big12 level defender and as a junior? Yeah I think he's better than average....also agree with LMD...safety may be a position more suited to Worley.

If Worley turns pro I am thinking about walking on at WVU. I still have 2 years of college eligibility remaining. I haven't lost a step. Jerry Jones put the Jugs gun on me about 2 days before Christmas ...................just to settle a bet. Jerry (I call him Jerry) lost!
