Halloween III was dismissed because of no Micheal Meyers. The original plan was to make a Halloween movie each year with a different theme/concept. It’s actually a very good horror film in its own right but bares the stigma of being “the Halloween film without Micheal Meyers”.

It’s not close to being the worse movie in that series even. That honor would probably go to Halloween: Resurrection.

Good post. I would actually say that it is probably my second favorite film in the series along with part II.

I think the answer is no, but does the Friday the 13th saga have anything whatsoever to do with the Friday the 13th? Obviously, it was trying to cash in holiday/special event themed slasher movies(Halloween, My Bloody Valentine, Silent Night, Deadly Night, New Year's Evil, Prom Night, Happy Birthday to Me, etc.) but I don't think the title has anything to do with the movies.
