My mother knew a Ronald McDonald but it wasn't really his parents fault. He was Ronald McDonald before the clown ever existed.

Also worked with a Mike Hunt at Target back in the early 90's.

Gottcha. Mike Hunt must be a popular name!
I've worked with two of them over the years. One got a kick out of it, the other got pissed if you called him Mike instead of Michael even if you didn't use the last name.

A little boy who played on my son's baseball team this summer was named tater. I thought it was a nick name at first, but it was not.

That must be the Le-a that every elementary school teacher ever has heard about.

You could do a spin-off thread on strange names of places. Thailand would probably win with places like Bangkok and Phuket. Imagine a woman named Anita Johnson traveling to Bangkok.

There was a kid one year below us and is last name was Zweiner. So it doesn't really matter what his first name was (Think it was daniel) because anytime you said it it sounded like you were saying 's weiner.

 ....it was a lot funnier when I was 14

Oh, he posts on here all the time. He just shortens it to Z.

Friend of mine has a kid by the same name in the class she teaches.

I used to work with a guy whose last name was Nipple. Always made for an awkward conversation.
