I was so drunk I slept in the hedgerow of one of the worst most dangerous hotels in San Diego one night. Best night of sleep I ever got. The dirt around the bottom of a thick hedgerow is dry and protected, generally. Well concealed and safe. Very underrated sleeping.

My dad wasn't exactly frivolous on the "between destinations" motel trips growing up. Let's just say that motel 6 was a luxury for us. I can't single one out.

Those vibrating beds were always a hoot, though.
